This number is for  iyogi ,  which is an extended computer assist/repair coverage.  Rather than walk you through needed steps, they insist that they have to take full control of your computer to fix it, and they won't tell you much, if anything, regarding what they've done -- leaving you in a lurch when problems continue --so that they instill a continued dependency.  Don't believe them if they give sales pitch beforehand promising that they will walk you through/teach you, nor that they would refund your money if unsatisfied with their service.  They are in India, and only the salesperson speaks intelligible English -- whereby further "supporting" the necessity of allowing them to take full control of your computer.
And don't believe that they know what they're doing, while they blindly take over and do who knows what to it.
They claim to have experts whom are familiar with nearly every computer brand.
They have many clients whose warranty with manufacturer has expired.
And when you tell them that you do not want to renew, they will endlessly call you many times per day, many days per week, for many months....and still counting.  Am still adding statements to my formal  complaint to the FCC, and still waiting for these phone calls to stop.  Does no good to tell them to stop, as they then do "silent calls" -- obviously trying to prompt YOU to call THEM -- that which can be intrepreted as YOU being the one initiating contact.  So don't call more than once, write it down, and include it with your complaint to the FCC.
Or better yet...just don't get started with them and the nightmares they will create.

I got this repeated calls. Last year by mistake i took service from them but did not help my software problems.
I remember, someone from Dell service referred me to IYOgi because the software on my older computer is not covered by Dell service anymore. do not get fooled. they will charge initial amount of $250, then you will never get your problem resolved. If you have an old computer with expired warranty, might as well get a new computer. this company is a major rip off.

    It is Iyogi.

I agree it is a separte support service that is sold when your Dell warranty has expired but they are very sneaky about the sales. They said they had to transfer me to someone that could help and listened for the third time to my computer problem. Then I got the "no problem" we can fix that for only $140.00  continued service or one year.  When you hear "no problem" or "I will give you a good price just for you" RUN.

I was relieved and bought the Iyogi service stupidly by then I had been on the phone about 45 minutes. I believe that is part of their stategy is they have the caller in a vulerable position especially if the computer is over a day old they say it is "old."  A computer being old depends on many variables so a blind that is old based on years not usage and type of usage is not correct but they do build these things with whatever parts not necessarily the newest parts.

Long story short after buying Iyogi service and speaking to them then to fix the problem which is why I was encouraged to buy the service after fully explaining the computer problem,  they said they could not fix the problem and they would need to transfer me to another department which would mean buying another service.

The problem ended up being not a software issue which is Iyogi support issues but a hardware issue a broken fan which I ended up replacing in fifteen minutes after ordering it on sale at Newegg.

Long story short it is a rip off and I agree unfortunately their accents are quite strong and if you can  feel comfortable with that you still need to get past the language barrier a lot of our American " English" meanings are not the same as their British "English" so the literal meaning can be lost in the communication. I find this happens also with people that are bilingual or know more than two languages. By the answer it is obvious the question was not understood exactly as meant although that happens in everyday communication also but professional business should have the expectation of excellent high quality communication.

Long story short, I do not trust them and felt like I was ripped off although I was desparately worried about not having computer usuage and allowed myself to make a rash decision. I will not buy Dell ever again.

Just a tip if possible have two computers in case one breaks down and have everything backed up always. Try to fix it with the help of on-line communtities. Try and have the hard  drive built with latest parts. I am a novice at computer repair but have been very successful at upgrades, RAM, and replacing the fan etc.

They are calling and calling me - I just never answer.  The company is annoying and terrible.  They do not help a lot if you need help, just try to talk you in to buy more services.  I woul not recomend the lyogi company for anybody.  It is shame on such corporation as Dell to recomend this lyogi company to its consumers.

These buggers don't give up.  The only reason I had any dealings with them was when McAfee put out definition files last year that caused a quarentine of needed system files, I called Microsoft support after being bounced from McAfee, and Microsoft had me work with Iyogi.  I've been hounded the last couple weeks, and finally called MS to report they have the worst selection of 3rd party contracted support, and will take this to the FCC as well.

I've been using Iyogi for years - they do stay on the computer and they fix and saved me numerous times.  I love that they call me each month. When I'm ready to re-up my account, I'd do it.  2 hours on the phone with a computer tech and you'd pay twice as much.  For 140 to have someone for a year on your side?????

    Come on guys!

Am having the same nightmare.  Since I have not renewed,  there have been endless calls, several times a day.  When I answer, they hang up.  I ignore the calls and they still continue.
Initially, when telling them ,"No, thanks", the lady was downright rude and antagonistic.  When she asked why I did not wish to continue and I responded, that I could not understand their instructions because of the language issue, she said, "TRY to understand", and then, "LISTEN, you are not listening..."  They have not taken my "NO" and I consider the calls to be harrassment.

Iyogi calls TWICE EVERY day!!  Very annoying!  They  don;t give up. I dont answer the phone. I would love to know how to block the calls.

BUT, they have saved my computer a FEW times. I got what I paid for, since I did not have to go to  a computer store or wait days to get my computer fixed.  So, it is VERY convenient to call them and have them fix the viruses and other issues that I have had. As far as performance and speed, they have not done a good job. But, getting rid of viruses, they have helped.

Do NOT respond to this number.   They are not trustworthy.  They just called again today and asked a question that I stupidly responded to as "yes".   I will probably regret answering this number.
