These are the business names and numbers that were given to me when I signed up. They were very clear that I would only be charged for shipping and processing to a total of $1.95, but then they charged me $59.90 without consent. I said "NO" to all the other offers and requests that the "automated" receptionist was asking and offering. I've canceled my debit card and having my bank investigate/refund my account.
The caller was very specific in that I would be charged nothing until after I signed for my package, which I still have not received.
The caller said that they were opening their business- Savings Ace- in my area, and that this was a marketing package so I could take their survey about their business. There was never a condition of purchase disclosed.- Caller: savingsace/americanautobenefits 1-877-472-3388

- Lexi| 1 replyI got the same thing... they have so far takin $3 and its weird i tried to call and it was some type of jazz music playing and then nothing.
- SoCalMom92| 3 repliesThis is a supposed "Customer Service" number to deal with customers calling for ODYSSEY WORLD TRAVEL & AMERICAN AUTO BENEFITS. This is a SCAM!!!!! - they call offering a $200 Gasoline Voucher for a $2.00 transaction fee. They claim to be sending you 2 packets of infomation for each of the businesses above [travel & auto] then send a two-sided letter that has the Redemption Voucher attached with small type on the back saying that you have to buy a minimum of $100.00 of gasoline per month, then mail in your original receipts (no copies) to receive one $10.00 gas voucher for 20 consecutive months. In the meantime, they are taking 59.90 per month for their bogus travel service and auto benefits programs. You cannot reach anyone at the number listed above - there will be Jazz Music playing for 30-45 seconds then the line automatically hangs up. The real number (below) to call for any Customer Service is a call center in India and they claim that American Auto Benefits is operating out of Phoenix, AZ. The truth is that the 2 companies have an address listed as 10801 Starkey Road, Suite 104-102, Seminole, Florida 33777. Their real telephone number to get the India exchange is 877-472-3388. You will need to ask the person to slow down [they speak so fast to confuse & cross you up] while giving you information or asking you for your information! I know that they are most likely preying on Senior Citizens! Do not buy into their Scam - when something is considered "too good to be True--it most likely is just that--Too Good To Be True"! I had to be very patient, but I continued to push back & I INSISTED THAT THEY REFUND THE $59.90 THEY EXTRACTED FROM MY ACCOUNT.....after they processed my information they said, "you will receive (see it in your account activity) your refund of $59.90 in 3 to 5 business days - they have already been reported to my bank and to their Claims Department.

- SoCalMom92 replies to LexiHello Lexi, You will need to call 1-877-472-3388 and demand the account be cancelled and they may still take out the $59.90 for the first month. Demand that they not take any funds out of your account. You may want to have your card cancelled and get a new card issued to you. They make it so hard to cancel that they are hoping that you give up and they get your money for several months until you cancel your account/card. Be proactive and call your bank and get the card cancelled!
- SoCalMom92 replies to SoCalMom92The number above is how I contacted them, but their letter with both businesses listed on the Letterhead shows the telephone number as 1-877-419-9592. In reading all of the previous posts to this site indicate an ever-changing set of phone numbers. I did get through to 1-877-472-3388 and requested my refund, but I also contacted my bank to cancel my debit card and if my $59.90 refund does not show up in the time that this crooked operation said that they would credit back the charge - my bank's fraud/claims department will be putting the money back into my account & may go after the scammers/phishers. I wonder how many people have responded to their scam, but have not reported it here?

- Cherry1yeah these people called me today saying they were sending me a $500 grocery card along with a $25 wal-mart gift card. they gave me 2 different phone #'s. 18885935215 which i looked up and says it's some type of cell phone in china and when i called it back it said that "this user has a voice-mail that is not set up" the other number they gave me was 18003510218, someone answered but i hung up, they charged $1 to my acct but after doing the research i canceled my card in a matter of minutes after talking to them. the number 18774723388 is what showed up on my acct statement and they claim to not receive the information for at least 48 hours, even though its on my account after just 2 minutes....... They also gave me the web page address www.savingsace.com, which is a real site but has nothing to do with their company! i got a package#, confirmation# and an extension for some woman named Lisa.

- Karl| 1 replyReceived a call to verify address for shipping, they indicated no one was there to receive it. I asked what address and gave me my alternate address, I indicated that everything is shipped to my business. He asked for it and I gave it to him. He then wanted me to give him my credit card # which he also already had but wanted me to repeat it back to him. I refused and said I did not give out my cc# unless I inititated the card. He then told me I was lying because he already had it. I hung up. He called back and said that unless I gave him verbally my credit card # he would not give me the phone # to cancel the order. I said what order? He said the shipment. He only called me 5 minutes ago to get my address, so how could I have received the "package" $100 gift card. He said it was sent when he changed the address. I immediately called my credit card company and they said there was a pending charge 5 minutes earlier for $1 which is what he indicated would be my only charge until 30 days when $24.95 would be charged monthly. Beware! this is a phish. Credit card company called with me on the line and I spoke with a Josh, when pressed for his last name, he finally said "Billings" yeah right.
