- justbugged| 4 repliesSo they keep calling, but I am very very good about not answering. I guess I could break down and answer, but I hate to give into anyone that calls me from a 800 phone number. I would rather have the caller ID tell who is calling.

- Direct TV CustomerI received over 20 phone calls from this number today, most of them in the afternoon. At one point I was getting called every 3-5 minutes! I have now unplugged my phone. If the calls do not stop, I'll change my phone number.
I called Direct TV and they stated that it was their automated system. They agreed to take my number off of their call list, but informed me that it could take up to 30 days!

- DIRECTV CustomerI just called DIRECTV regarding this number, and they said they did not find it anywhere in their directory. Additionally, if you call the number back, none of the standard DIRECTV automated prompts come up.
The billing department at DIRECTV stated that if there's any doubt customers should only use the 888 and 800 numbers under their website, and that they'll be investigating these guys.- Caller: Frauds pretending to be DIRECTV

- eabI do not have DirecTV but keep getting calls. I do believe they think they're calling one of their customers but they're not. I even answered two calls last year that had live people on the other end and I told them they had the wrong person. I called DirecTV many months ago and told them to remove my number from their system but they haven't. They wanted MY name & address. I don't know who else to contact about this but the calls have to stop. They called twice this afternoon already.

- Non-DTV Cust. replies to DIRECTV CustI hate when people like you leave stupid [***] comments. Not everyone who receives these calls are behind on their bills. As evident some are wrong numbers possibly looking for previous customers. If you don't have anything to add as to who these people are and what they want then don't type at all.
- BJ replies to DIRECTV CustWell for your smartalec information, not everyone who receives a call from this number hasn't paid their bill. I received one just trying to get me to buy additional channels. Don't assume just because a person gets a phone call they haven't paid their bills!
- stop callingDirecTV has done this before, sometimes it's a customer survey, sometimes it's to upsell products. My account is already auto-pay and the card is valid until 2015, so it has nothing to do with payment. I've asked before to be taken off their call list and have sent an email to their customer service. Seriously, if they don't stop effing calling, I'm switching to (god forbid) Time Warner or Fios. I should not be harassed when I pay DirecTV $150/month for a service.
