i get this number and so does my husband.  were tired of you calling 3 to 5x a day. come on!  were not going to answer you anyway.  so stop calling

I receive a call from this number about once a day - if I answer there is never anyone who answers.  I never call back, so I am not sure who it is but it is getting annoying

It's a scam claiming to be DirecTV.  They don't connect the call on purpose in the hopes you will call back and get fooled by the DirecTV greeting before connecting to an agent who will steal your money.  They will undoubtedly tell you there is some issue relating to your payment/card/bank info and then attempt to collect financial info.
 

They are 11 of the 37 solicitor calls I have received in the last few days.  Two were twice in the same minute!  Ridiculous!

Calls every day 2X a day with no vocice

Signed up for DTV about 3 months ago. Have been getting calls from this number about 3 times a day. Finally saved it as DTV Scam, and don't answer it.

Get 3-4  calls a day.  Nobody there.
I called DIRECTV and they confirmed it was a "system error". customer service rep said they would put me on Do not Call List. I asked how long will that take to go into effect; answer "2.5 seconds".  Great I thought.  

1 hour later I get another call.

Now I follow up with an email request and the answer I get back is 7-10 days to take effect!

What a joke!

Why am I doing business with DIRECTV???

They called around 2 p.m. PST on a Sunday.  Caller ID was just the #.  I answered because I had someone sleeping in the house and with a view to putting us on their "do not call" list.  No-one answered.
Left message "don't know what you are playing at but take us off your calling list".

I am a DirectV customer so I went online and checked my account.  I received a new debit card within the last month and I do have auto bill pay.  I called DirectV directly `@ 800-531-5000 and checked with them.  Sure enough, I needed to update my billing card info.   The lady I talked to was unaware of the 877-488-1814 number or DirectV calling people to update their info.
If you are a DirectV customer it would be worth your while to contact them and ask if there is a problem with your account. I would not give this information to the people at the number listed above.

this number calls me atleast 5 times a day I am quite frankly tired of them calling me

4 DTV "sales" calls in 3 hours tonight so far
Dozens of harassing DTV calls to my cell and office since i cancelled them a week ago. (I dont bother to answer annoying DTV calls anymore)
I already sent their old equipment back and paid the $2  closing statement remaining balance. Now if they would stop calling every day at any hour.
If they offered to charge me a fee to stop the crap calls i would consider buying it, but would prob require a 2 yr contract
