My card expired and they called because I hadn't changed the number in time for the auto billing.annoying because I changed it a few days before it was set to charge. They wasted no time and called two days after the payment was declined and the bill wasn't even due til the end of the month haha so it wasn't even late!

They say they're from directs and ask me to update my email. I ask them what they have on file and she tells me some random email that is no where near mine. When I say that's not my email she then asks for my email  I tell her no b/c I know for a fact that they have my real email. She then says oh well that's fine and could not get off the phone fast enough. Pretty sure it's some kind of scam.

Please stop calling if you are not going to leave a message and identify who you are! You are really bothering me

I answer but no one responds and the line is still open. another number is +1 877 482 2211, also no response.

We keep recieving these calls. When I answer nobody talks or leaves a message.  I get calls several times a week .

She asked for someone named Judy. I told her they had the wrong number and to take out my number from their registry. She asked if I knew this person & I said no. She wanted my name and I told them they did not need it to take my number out.  She wanted me to hold on while they did this.  She tried to say that I called them which I told her that she called me & then I hung up to which I advised her that I was.

I call them back and tell them hey mother F. I want your money 10 times in a row same guy answers . He is annoyed.  They stopped imagin that

We have DirecTV, this number just called my cell phone and when I picked up there was nobody on the line, no automated message played, it just sat there connected. Okay... So I looked it up and this page appeared which is what I typically look for when I google a number. Thanks 800notes!

I read some notes people left about this number and I then logged into Dtv website, we do not owe anything, the bill was just paid 9 days ago via auto bill pay. So apparently it's telemarketing or a wrong number somehow. *shrugs*

They just called our home number, I answered, nobody replied, I waited and then it hung up on me. UGH! This is really ticking me off.

They just called my cell again. No message left. I might start calling that number 10 times per day just to harass them as well. I'm getting 1-2 calls per day which isn't that bad considering what I've read here about how many times it calls some people per day.

Call ID shows "Calif call". Did not answer. No recording left.

This number just called me AGAIN. I finally logged into Google Voice and put this number as a spam caller. So at least they won't be getting through to that number again. GRR! Nobody was on the line! I'm going to report it to the FCC. This is ridiculous!

Ok, I just filed a complaint with the FTC at https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088D for Abandoned calls/War Dialing. I included a list of times/dates the calls happened on my two phone numbers.

Don't be a tool. These guys are calling  and we've never even had DirectTV. Never Even considered it.  So telling people to pay their bills so they'll stop calling is really a [***] thing to say when you have zero idea what you're talking about!

Similar experience to others above: for some unknown reason, the credit card on my autopay for my DirecTV account got rejected when they put it through a couple weeks ago (the same card worked and has continued to work fine for everything else I use it for).  Their system generated a call that left a voicemail telling me there was a problem.  I logged onto my account and tried to update the credit card, but it was the right card already and everything looked fine, so I just logged off.

Then the calls started.  I'd estimate I got 8-10 calls over the last two weeks, before finally googling for the number and finding this page.  After reading the comments, I realized who the call was coming from.  I called their customer support, the rep re-ran the credit card, it worked fine, and she promises the calls will stop now.  I guess we'll see...

Total pain in the [***] at Direct TV

It is Legit - Direct TV.  My Credit Card was changed due to the Crap at Target. I forgot to notify Direct TV of the new credit card number for my autopay. i usually get pissed at all of the BS calls i receive, but this one was actually legit...

Guys, this is not legit.  Please don't give them your CC number.  The phone number does not match the DTV Customer Service number and when you call it back, you get a couple of voice prompts pretending to be DTV and then... "nothing".  It's a scam, a little more elaborate than most and with a clear insider/back door since it does seem to happen just after you update your CC number with DTV.
Pretty amazing it's been going on for several years and no one has even bothered to change the phone number.  please file complaints with the FCC.
