So I see the long list of federal lawsuits filed against ER Solutions has brought that debt collector agency to their knees.

    sick of scammers
I have received 2 phone calls from this number. Yes an automated female voice identified me using  both my  first and last names.  The message said it was 'urgent' to call them back.  The 2nd message left by this number had a 'diffferent' automated female voice saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and left the 202 864 1295 -- as the IRS number I was to call back.  Thank god for these scammer phone blogs as I know now its NOT real and another horrid skanky scam. I am so sick of it.

The best policy for dealing with vultures is NEVER talk to them.
Even in the unlikely case that you have unpaid debts.

They are well within the scope of the law asking you to verify your identity. It prevents 3rd party disclosure. The last four of the ssn is used because  while not exclusive to you is the best identifier. So you are partly correct. They must  IDENTIFY themselves when they contact you and they must also state that they are attempting to collect a debt and that the phone call may or may not be recorded. ( commonly called the mini Miranda) they MUST make sure they are only disclosing to the proper party and the mini miranda is only stated to the debtor

do you believe your own lies replies to Teresa
A debt collector will ASK FOR THE PERSON THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. Yes they may ask you to verify your last 4 before they disclose as there may be more than one person with the same name. The last 4 is not exclusive to you but is a safe way to verify and protect privacy

Called today and answering machine picked up. An automated woman's voice gave instructions about the menu and which buttons to push. I ignored it and then without redialing they started the same message. I clicked on message and no further calls were made afterwards. Living in Texas and they seem to be persistent. We owe no debts so it's not for us.

I just received a call from this number at my work, I only give this number out when absolutely neccessary for secondary contacts, it was an Autobot asking for me, I hit 1 and told me to hold and they hung up on me. I will no longer answer that call.

We've got them blocked so they get the number no longer in service message, and yet they still keep calling our office -- 6 times so far this month, and 18 times so far this year.

BUT they must first identify themselves.  You cannot simply call someone and demand any part of their social security number or ask for any information for the purpose of identification without first properly identifying yourself and stating why you need said verification.

They keep calling me as well.  They are a credit collection service and they do refuse to identify themselves, even when asked.

I've had this number for almost a year and they keep calling looking for the previous owner of my phone number.  Each time I have informed them they have the wrong number and then a few weeks later they call again.  Each time I have informed them they have the wrong number they also let me know that they will remove it from their system.... which obviously doesn't happen as they keep calling back.

They called me at work & didn't leave a message. I see this is a debt collector according to all other reports & I don't have any debt to collect so hopefully they realized they have the wrong number & they don't call back.
