Yeah exact same thing here.. just moved here and got this new phone #, and saw them on the caller ID...didn't answer and never will. Let them waste their time/resources for nothing.

They call to demand you pay and settle a debt. However, it is not my debt, and I have no intention of paying someone elses debt who i do not know.

They have made themselves unavailable to any person who refuses to define themselves as debtors.

Up until 11 years ago you could determine the year and state SSN's were assigned from by the first 5 digits.  Conversely, if you know the year and state someone was born in you can assume the first 5 ... it works about 75% because not everyone got an SSN at birth, still you give away more than u think with the last 4 Of ur Social.

Called at 8:15 PM. I am on the "Do Not Call List" Have been on it for over a year.

Just received a call this morning from this number for my husband, asked to see if they could speak to me since everything we have owned or own is jointly named and they refused to do so though they said they could speak with me if I could proved my husband's full social security number and his full date of birth. Ended up hanging up on them.

Left a message on my voicemail.  Just a robo-call repeating the number they are calling from and a extension. Have no idea what this is in reference to

I received a call, but my experience was a little different from the reports I read here.  The caller was POLITE.  And he did not ask for my social.  Apart from that, I normally do not answer calls unless I know who they are from, but let them leave a message.  However, I did not have my glasses on, and so couldn't read the screen on caller ID.  So I answered.  He asked for someone whose name was close to but not identical to mine.  One letter difference.  Someone somewhere, don't remember any more who, a long time ago mistakenly wrote my name that way, and it pops up still from time to time in that form, even though I NEVER use that spelling (I do know how to spell my name!).  Anyway, the male voice on the phone asked for me by this incorrect name.  Before I had time to think of what to answer, he asked me to take a message for X.  He asked me to tell X to call this number (877....), said he was from (sounded like) Convergen.  I spelled it out to him like this, and he said that was correct.  Here I learn that they also go by Convergent or Convergence.  Guess they don't care what you call them, as long as they can speak with you.  In sum, this call did not seem scary to me, but rather bizarre.  I don't know if this was the first time or the five hundredth time they called, because I generally do not pay any attention to unknown caller, and in general they either hang up or if the voice mail goes on they leave no message.  (BTW, acc to CID, the call was from V2141329280004 and their number was 330-297-9887.)

I got this call just now and I answer it but no one answers. I guess I hang up too soon before I give them a chance to talk to me.Now I know who they are. I will blocked them immediately even if they'll try another no.
