I've gotten this call three times. Same thing as above - free 7 day Carnival cruise with airfare to the closest port. Haven't called them back.

Hi questionable, Did you actually end up going to the meeting? I got the exact same call today. I think it's completely a scam, but want to make sure. I don't want to waste gas money driving to the club, but I also don't want to miss out on a free vacation! What did you find out?

So after reading 4 pages of complaints just on this phone # alone, you have to ask???

Also got this call but with a callback number to 877-309-1114.  They seem to be meeting in Georgetown tonight Aug. 11 and 12th at two different meeting times each night.  Geez they are giving away a lot of vouchers.

Got the call  last night  7 night 8 day cruise blah blah blah. If they don't say your name because you have allegedly entered a contest(hello)you know it is a scam. Same as most above stories

Called at 1:00pm CST August 15, 2011, said I won free trip to my choice of places, one was Miami, I could barely understand the fast talking pre-recorded message.  Unknown number of course, told me to call them back at 877 500 3990 within 24 hours, yeah right.  Thanks to you guys I don't even have to ask, tyvm!

I just got the same call from a promotional company "awa".

I just got a call from someone who said really fast some promotional department at awa... then they started talking normal about a Caribbean cruise 7 nights that i won and paid air fare and leaving a port in miami and its from a blocked number but its 877 500 3990 that is the number

Got the same voice mails as everyone else.  Now they are going by the name America West.  I wonder why they have to change their name all the time, duh....   Scam.

I just got a call today...stating same message....except they said the we could choose between Carnival or another cruise.....the meeting is suppose to take place this Sat. in D.C....G-Town area at a place called Armory Complex on 31st street...9:45, 11:45, 1:45. or 3:45... It's gotta be a joke.  They said, "no timeshare or hassle....yet, they want our license and credit card number.......NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got the same message 7night, 8 day Caribbean cruise with free airfare yesterday evening person spoke so fast, I had to listen to the message three different times to get the "promotional department of AWA", or something to that nature.

Just got the same-o same-o schpiel yesterday to either take a cruise from Baltimore, MD on Royal Caribbean or fly to Port Canavaral and take a cruise from there. Slicksters! A previous poster was right...the voicemail mentioned 100% guaranteed, not 100% free. Nonsense. Voicemail....DELETED>>>>

got the call booked a tour and it was very informative about travel club. i did'nt buy but would have if i could have afforded it. its worth a look. i got my cruise and everything they promised. sales rep was very polite.

The message is from a marketing company hired by the Vacation Club, not the Vacation Club, nothing but good reviews on the actual club.

I got a phone call today from 'Private Number' and when I answered it, from what I could make out it was Ann Callahan calling from American West talking about a cruise that I won. Right away I thought it was a scam so I hung up. Then my husband said they called him saying we won a cruise. Same thing 8day 7night cruise with carnival or royal carribbean or complimentary air fare. He thought it was weird that they called both of us. The callback number was 877-309-1115. It said we won from a contest we entered a year ago. We did enter a contest to win a free cruise but that was in June of this year and not to mention I have never heard of this company. And the requirements are you have to be between ages 28-72 and make $60,000 a year. We must go to D.C. for their anniversary party and then pick up our tickets there. Oh and they want to see proof of marriage, living arrangements, id's, and a credit card but supposedly they dont look at the number, they just want to verify the names. This sounds fishy so we said forget it. Do any of you live in Baltimore that got solicited for this? We do and I was just wondering if maybe that has anything to do with it. How did they get my number??

I live in Balto & got the same message tonight from Ann at the America West Award Notication Center (from a blocked #). Said to call 877-309-1115 w/in 24 hrs to hear details of my 2 RT airline tix & 7n/8d cruise on RCL or Carnival from Balto, Miami, or Port Canaveral. I called & allthe detailswere same as others mentioned. Said mtg was this Sat. 9:45, 11:45, 1;45 or 3:45 @ 901 W. 31st, Washington Harbor area, DC. If anyone is in DC area, stop in, you might walk away w/ a vacation...LOL.

The company called America West said we had been drawn for a free cruise, yada yada.  We picked the operators brain- want us to listen to their presentation on travel packages in georgetown, wash dc.  Thanks for all the info- don't know why they'd need your credit card
