The number 877-527-9806 has called numereous relatives of mine as well as friends that do not even live in the same state.  When they call the caller ID does not show a number nor a company name.  The caller refuses to leave a name and is very rude on the telephone.  They have threatened to sue me and says that someone needs to be home so that they can serve me papers.  I do not know who these people are and the last time I spoke to them the lady hung up in my face when I told her I was going to contact an attorney.  The calls had ceased for a while and now they are at it again.

I got a call that I needed to sign some documents affilated with William McClellan (case # 1060-01050), whom I didn't know.

That's why they won't say where they are from....and they are calling my elderly in-laws and threatening to serve THEM with paperwork....there's someone "I" want to deal with.......

My elderly mother just got a call from these jokers claiming to have papers to serve me on a court case and they had her in a complete panic thinking I was in trouble, which I am not, I am a law abiding citizen. My mother lives halfway across the country in a completely different state and I haven't shared an address with her for more than 20 years so that was my first tip that they were lying to her. Then they told her that they had checked for my work history and that was my second tip that they were lying. They are breaking the law by impersonating the state. If I were in trouble with the law the court would have my current contact information (which hasn't changed in years) or at least know what state I live in!  Of course I then checked online for the number and found this website and see that this is common for this company. I will be contacting the Georgia State Attorney General's Office and reporting them.  I don't have any outstanding debts so they must be trying to collect on a debt that is so old it was paid long ago.  She was so upset by these people and they should be shut down for doing this to innocent people.

why dont you call them and find what it is about before complaining??? you dont even know what this is regarding.....you sound a little fishy to me!

No reason to call scammers back. No reason at all. This person is doing the right thing. You must be part of the scam.

So I'm sitting at home and my phone rings, the name and number is blocked. Usually I don't answer any call when I see restrictions of this type, but I figured what the heck. A lady calls and ask for someone I never heard of, then she tells me a persons name who is sending legal documents to another person I never heard of. Just just happened to be sitting at my computer when the lady ran off the phone number, come to find out someone was Phishing, which lead me straight here.  Seriously folks, watch out for scams like this...some people are so stupid.

These people have been terrorizing my elderly parents by stating that they have a summons for me.  Last May, I had them talk to my husband, who is a local police officer and who explained to them that what they are doing is illegal.  I obtained information from them regarding the debt and found out that the information that they have is for a credit card that I never had at an address where I never lived.  I asked them to send me all of the information regarding the debt including the signature card.  All they sent me was an offer to settle.  Since finding out that they would get nowhere by calling me, they have begun terrorizing my parents.  They told my Mom that the ONLY way to get them to stop calling her and my Dad was to have me call them.  I called them and admit I was irate.  The woman that I spoke to, "Sasha" kept hanging up on me.  She stated that she has never called my parents.  I told her to take my number and stop calling my parents.  She stated that she did not want my number and hung up on me.  I have informed my folks that I tried to handle the situation but they do not want to deal with me and that if they call my parents again they are to get as much information as possible and inform the caller that we would be contacting the Attorney General's office in my state.  These people are DESPICABLE and anyone receiving calls from them would be well advised not to give them ANY information.  If this was a legitimate attempt to collect a debt, they would not harrass loved ones and they would provide the information necessary for me or any other victim of identity theft to pursue the person or persons who victimized them.

Just called this number as a result of a message left with my elderly parents who live 40 minutes from me.  They were told that I had to call this number to avoid a summons being served on me.  They gave my parents a "case" number.  I called the number and gave them a "case" number but they could not find me.  They found me by my name.  I told them that I was interested in discussing what this was about but that I needed to inform them that the call was being recorded.  The guy cleared his throat and then told me that he would transfer me to the person handling my "case."  I spoke to a guy named "David."  I informed him that I was recording the call and he said that due to privacy laws it was not okay for me to record the conversation.  I stated that it was not okay for them to call my parents.  (Federal law as well as the laws of my state are such that it is perfectly legal to record a conversation as long as one of the parties involved knows that the conversation is being recorded). I asked him what the name of the company was and he stated, "Process Services."  He stated that someone would be calling me with a time and date that information would be "delivered" to me.  He stated that according to his information, someone had already tried to serve papers on me today but they were unable to reach anyone.  I informed him that both my husband and myself were at home and had been all day but that nobody had tried to contact either of us nor serve us with any kind of papers.  He said that somebody would be contacting me shortly and I asked him to please advise whoever contacts me that I will be recording the conversation.  I am currently going to my state Attorney General's website to file a complaint.  I will be including this phone number, the name of the person I spoke with as well as the information obtained in this thread in my complaint.  I would suggest that anyone reading this post do the same.

Will this company really serve relatives papers?

Just got a call from this number threatening legal action against my grandpa for some debt. Looked up the court records, and there wasn't a darn thing out there against him. Dug up some info about the number and it's a total scam. If they call you, get their number and call your State Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission and report them.

How is it illegal?? I am in debt but when I was at work my mom called me and said they visited me at my home but. just told her they'll try again wouldn't give her any info though... my buddy got the same thing but for a criminal matter he went to court though... I'm just looking for advice I placed a hold to come up with the money they sent me everything and I'm supposed to call to either settle or go to court...
