- JoanI just got a call from them but it came in restricted. But she was nice enough to leave voice mail. With a phone number and even that was different then what yall have.
- unknown| 1 replyAccording to the federal trade commission website it is illegal for any debt collector to threaten jail or court action against anyone. So all these summons are [***] when u get summoned its by an actual law enforcement officer who serves you in person. They do not call you to tell you they are coming which proves its a scam, secondly how they get your information is that they are zombie debt collectors who input your information into one of the detective search engines which they pay a small fee and it gives them all your numbers including relatives info then comes the harassing of you and relatives getting calls about you. They're latest number I have is 601-351-9607 from Mississippi. All others seem to have been spoofed. They never give out they're company name only say they are from process and summons division. They call and the voicemail left is your name automated and rest message is real voice, even caught them studdering, bunch of idiots!
- Caller: never given
- Call type: Debt collector
- don't worry replies to steveI don't think you got served. If you did, it was to appear for a payment, which will put a judgment on you. By the way everyone, YOU DON'T GO TO JAIL FOR A BILL!.
- don't worry replies to fedup621| 1 replyHEADS UP FOR EVERYONE....For a company or collections agency to do anything against you, they will have to go to a company attorney. In this process, the attorney's office will file with the court to process a judgment (or lien) against you. You will get a notice in writing via mail - you'll have to sign the little green card...If no answer they will go to court to put a lien on you. You will then get the judgment in the mail. I know this because I've been through it. TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THE PROCESS - SPREAD THE WORD! PS --The judgment can hold you up in purchasing a house, for example. BUT YOU DO NOT GO TO JAIL. Each state has how many years the judgment stays with you...In some rare instances, they can go to court and have it taken out of your pay check. This is a state by state case. SOOOOO...if you are getting threatening phone calls & you know you need to pay a bill (and you don't want a judgment against you), I strongly suggest working with the company, NOT the collections. State the problem to the company regarding the calls you are getting. If they say sorry, we've written it off, send them the money to them anyways!!! Let them take care of the collection agency!!!! If the company immediate sends you to the collection agency, it means that they OWN the collection agency. I would call back immmediately, ask them for their address and SEND the money to them via mail. DO NOT answer their phone calls. If you do get hassled, I encourge everyone to start recording the messages. If you do need to go to court for a judgment and are paying them via mail - you can tell the judge that - here are my money order receipts (or check) and by the way, here are their messages to me, threatening me with jail time, etc.
- don't worry replies to paywhatyouborrowedandstopcryingGood for you Phil!! Now go away! And stop being a jack ass!!!! Everyone knows they have bills!!!!
- your welcome replies to tammy| 1 replyOK Tammy!!!! That's enough! EVERONE...YOU DON'T PAY TWICE AS MUCH WHEN YOU GO TO COURT!!! I'VE BEEN THERE!!!! ID10T Tammy!!!!
- NotbuyinitJust got the same call - again. First time she left a message saying "return the call or we'll have to take action. You've been notified" This time I answered (no number on caller ID). Said she was from "Summons and Locating Division". I asked "of what?" She claimed it was from the county - and pronounced the county wrong! Told me my wife had two actions against her one civil and one criminal. Me: "Oh yeah from whom". Her: "We can't tell you that. It's illegal. But I can give you the number of the person. Maybe they can tell you." and gave me an 866 number. Yeah I'm gonna call.
Any of this sound fishy? Wait let me rephrase - any of this sound legit? At all? give me a break.- Caller: No legitimate name given.
- NotbuyinitBTW - These are NOT debt collectors. Neither my wife or I owe money to anyone except the mortgage and auto company. Never been late on either. Pretty sure it's not them.
Next call goes to the cops or FBI.- Caller: Extortionists.

- Me2 replies to paywhatyouborrowedandstopcryingI've paid my debt but these people are scammers trying to get money that I don't even owe. Don't assume that everyone is running from their debts, that's not true.

- AntoniaThis person called my job and has been calling my cell phone, blocking their number. He left me a message saying his name is Michael Hunter and that he's the senior locator for the processing and summons division for the state of Florida. He said I needed to contact my case worker, Mr. Moss immediately regarding 2 fraud charges against me for writing bad checks and that need to serve me with a warrant. I never called them back and did a google search on this and saw it's some kind of a scam. They have always called my job, but we have an call center who wouldn't put the call through. He said I needed to call 1-888-978-4319 extension 147 and that my case number is 431-923
