Nothing but hang ups.  No voice when phone is answered.

Do you possibly have kids in school, cause i just checked a website called one call now , thats who answered when i called number back (automated of course) and i looked at their website and low and behold the numbers are the same..take a look..

This is a service used by schools and groups to send out a blanket message to all parents of students.  For example, delays due to weather, early release days etc.

I receieved a telephone call from 877-698-3261 on 01/31/07 at 903am. No message was left. I looked up the phone number from the post listed below and saw that it is frequently used by Youth Little League thats what I just registered my Son in Little League and believe that what was the call was regarding. Hello everyone,
I just happened upon this website and thought to look up my work number, and low and behold I found it!  I work in Technical Support for One Call Now.  To the posters who complained of no message being left, We do apologize for the inconvience.  95% of the time the system works flawlessly, The other 5 can be touch and go.  
**Tech Advice**
If you get a call from 877-698-3261 and no message is left, call the numnber back.  Yes it is a voice recording, but the first option says "To hear your groups latest message, please press 1."  You do that then enter in your phone number and the system will automatically replay the message that was sent to you.
Hope this clears up any confusion on our part.

Smart, proactive attention from a heads-up player at a good, OH based company that is growing leaps and bounds. We get "One-calls" from numerous groups we or the kids are in and it's a great system. Good job Corinne!

This number can also be for reverse 911 service.  Our county has this service and I signed up to receive calls if a tornado watch or warning occurs in my immediate area.  This is number that comes up when the reverse 911 sends me and automated message saying we are under a tornado watch/warning.

We  just received a call from that number with an automated message warning us about the tornado watch.

FYI- I GET CALLED FROM THIS NUMBER ALSO. THIS PHONE NUMBER IS REGISTERED TO "ONE CALL NOW" WHICH IS A SERVICE USED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA'S VIRTUAL SCHOOL. SO IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR ONLINE CLASSES OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS K-12 AND TAKING ONLINE CLASSES IT IS A CALL FROM THEIR INSTRUCTOR.

I checked out the site.  The site offers services for you to buy so you can make a message and have it sent out to several hundred phone numbers.  It's all automated.  This is a church that has left messages on my phone named Team Care.  I googled it but got nothing.  I am going to research it more.

Someone from this number called me on 10/13/09 and left me a message. The message said it was about some mystery jobs they thought I may be interested in, in my area! The number the left for me to call them back was 1-647-230-2435 ext. 230   I did call back and their message said " Uh Oh, we have no room for mail right now ". She left me an email, but all I got out of it was mail@shoppingjobs.com  ..  Thought you'd like to know

We got a phone call from this number, and it was my husband's work. We looked it up and found it was this service and were quite relieved. It did work to call the number back and push "1" to hear your groups message. I didn't even have to input our number.

This is a service you pay for, it's ONE CALL NOW. you send a message out via this service to a list of phones or within your corporate phone back for a company wide message

Thank  you for this post i got a call from this number with a voicemail i couldnt understand.  But i called the number back pressed one and didnt even have to input any info and it is from my church with parrish updates.  Thank you so much for the help.

Here is the answer:

1. When phone calls go out long distance (not just One Call but all phone calls) they travel through a number of switches to a local provider (you probably are completely unaware of this local provider)

2. When it gets to the local provider they compare the phone number to a name they keep on a database that matches it w/ a Caller ID name.  If the local provider doesn't update their list it gives old info.

Called this number back and pushed 1 to retrieve a message.   It was a local accountant trying to drum up business for the tax season

I get called from this number when my Church Pastor sends out a Group msg to us.  I call the number back and it asks me if I want to hear a msg press 1.  My pastors voice then comes on and says"please hold for a msg from Christian World."

Received two calls from this number.  Both times it's left a voicemail. Automated message that's cut off in the beginning.  Something about Avalon Lending Services.  Then says to call 877-698-3262 to be removed from their notification service.  I did call back and went through their automated process to remove myself from their system.  Not sure how I got there in the first place.

Received a call from this number and didn't answer before they hung up.  They called right back and when I picked it up it was a message from our local police department warning us that there has been a rash of car break-ins recently in the community and for us to make sure our doors were locked.  If you receive a call from this number PICK IT UP.  It may contain information that is important to you.

Yep, we picked up, there was music playing but no one spoke, so we hung up. Then we read all of these messages and decided to ring it back. Didn't need to dial 1, it just knew our number. Glad we rang back, it was a recorded message from Tim Horton's Foundation Residential Camp. Informing us, our son had arrived and was now eating supper in his cabin. Very reassuring, as he left on a T.H coach 5½ hours earlier. We programmed our phone with the name and number, so we won't miss it the next time. Suggest you do too. Seems to be a number used by many different groups, which is potentially useful, just a pity Tim Horton's didn't warn us in their literature. It looked like all those other numbers we avoid, except we were expecting a call from T.H.
