Received at least 2 calls from this # in the last couple of weeks. Thx to all for letting me know its from a "cell block." Now I've "blocked the cell!"

Keeps calling says if I want to accept a call to pay 9.00.  Sorry I don't know the number so I don't answer it just annoying.

Unfortunately, it won't work. I've done both blocking techniques and they still call me every Sunday evening. It sounds like the same lady everytime too, so I wonder...

This is a calling service the jail uses and it will charge you $9.99 if you accept the charge it will charge it to your cell phone bill. You have to accept and prove your identity.

This is from a correctional facility and I could hear the inmate's name clearly.  You do have to pay for calls from those facilities.  It is not a scam.

Call from jail house, caller told me payment plans, deleted call.

received a call from this # 1-877-710-3334 I picked up as a machine was leaving a message. Said  a correctional facility 7 to press various #'s to find out who
I pressed one & when they began telling me how I could add to My account i hung up.

I got a call from the same number after midnight.  It said it was from the Pickaway County Correctional Facility and if I would like to accept the call I could a prepaid or credit card to allow them to charge $14.99 for up to 10 minutes.  I don't know anyone in the pickaway county jail, and what kind of jail lets inmates run around making phone calls after midnight?

Left voicemail on my cell, caller ID said Securus Technologies.  Something about adding minutes, mentioned sums of $14.99 and then $9.99.

If you call the number back you can get connected to their automated customer service line and block your number permanently. You can call the customer service line directly but I did not make a note of the phone number (you would need to call that line back to unblock as well).

We received two calls in a row with an automated message.
The first one wanted me to pick up and I would be charged $9.99.
The second time, the message mentioned $14.99 for 15 minutes.
I did not pick up.

The website seems to want me to open an 'account' in order to block my phone from receiving calls.
Nope, not giving them any of my information.

This is from a correctional facility.  Someone incarcerated is trying to reach you.  You can authorize the facility to charge your phone a fee to speak to that someone.

In the past two days I've received 25 calls from this number, over the past week probably 50. I have no idea who could be calling, and the one voicemail that got through before I blocked the number was only saying something about purchasing minutes. Thank goodness for the Call Protect app.

If they perform certain “services”

I have received 6 calls so far from this number. I've let it go to voicemail each time and they leave a message about being charged for accepting the call. Very scary and annoying!

This is from a correctional facility. It is actually a real inmate calling you. Whether you know them or that they are honest, that’s another story.
