- jtay123 replies to AmberKeep watching your bill closely Amber. It will go up. My bill went down at first and is now $30.00 more than the utility's rate. I called and asked why they said my fixed rate contract had ended but they could renew it for me. The fixed rate they offered me is higher than the utility rate. Like I really want to pay more? Yeah, I saw the A+ rating by the BBB. Anyone who has dealt with the BBB much knows they are joke.
- i hate jay| 3 repliesJay,
Seems that you either worked for IGS or Crossfire. What's wrong? Did they fire you? Now you have an ax to grind? I see you all over these boards on IGS, and obviously you haven't found a new job yet because you have waaaaaay too much time on your hands. And by the way, Jay....is your real name Andy T.? How's the job search going for you?? Not well huh? That's what happens when you have a record like you have!!!!! - J replies to SkepticHaha...yeah, a bit obvious, huh!
- i hate jay 2 replies to i hate jay| 2 repliesjay, or andy tantes, or terry hyder or any of the people who went to the dispatch and lied about IGS, your all morons and cost many people there jobs---thanks so much you jerks! you lied about everything and you know it but you still have no job and are only collecting UI becasue your scum of the earth
get a job you lazy piece of white trashes or can't you because you have no life, a bad record, or no car no need to worry about us, but you guys better watch yourselves - FredThese people are a joke. I let the guy give me his speech, then told him I would have to talk to my husband first. He told me "No, I already have your information in the system". When I told him to cancel it, he said I would have to call back in 2 days to cancel. I am currently on hold.....have been for over 15 minutes now. This place is a total scam and joke. My next call will be to my attorney.

- jay replies to i hate jay 2| 1 replywow,i wonder who this could be?
maybe the owner of crossfire energy, the boiler room hired by igs energy to solicit natural gas customers?

- I hate jay 2 replies to jayjay, and all of you other supposed experts need to quiet down. your writing skills tell all of us why you do not have a job..if you are so proud of who you are, why do you hide your true identity? you guys all had jobs that paid you quite well and you got mad when you got fired because you didn't show up or you went against the rules. I know this because I worked with you every day and had to listen to you complain about everything. Man up and take control of your life and get a new job and stop milking the system for unemployment because you are too lazy or your record indicates that you are not fit for real job. The job wasn't the best, but you could have left whenever you wanted but you stayed just so you could keep bitching about IGS and Crossfire. We all have moved on and its time you did too.
- i hate jay 2 replies to terryterry you seem to be mad that you still have not found a job. you are still a lazy piece of crap and always will be. you and all of your lies cost people their jobs so thank you you [***]
- Moslem A.Today is Sept-23, 2011. Just prior to last winter 2010, I had received the mailing(s) from IGS Energy and after I and my wife discussed it, decided to sign up. After a year now, jsut prior to upcoming 2011 winter, I am left with much more higher bills (ranging between $26 and $30 each month). I called today (Sept-23, 2011) at 888-995-0992 and pressed "2" to sign up as a new customer, and was 'finally' able to reach a rep. Upon requesting cancellation, she told me that the reason I see a higher bill is due to some 'transitioning' rates (6.250000) and that she can offer 5.75 if I decide to stay with them. I chose against her advise and cancelled the service and was given a cancellation confirmation number. She advised that I have to do nothing and that ConsumersEnergy will handle everything, Right after the cancellation today, I get a call from IGS Energy with an offer. Scam or Not. Be wary of these company as it is not really saving you anything and just costing you upwards of $25 each month (in the form of IGS Energy (Interstate Gas Supply) 800/280-4474, Supplier Charge 032).

- Samsung replies to harold r.| 1 replyConsidering when these people call they are asking who pays the MichCon or DTE bill, I'm guessing it's a scam. Nobody within 300 miles of here has either one of these services. Nice try though.
- tina replies to Anonymous| 1 replyThis guy from IGS showed up at door yesterday, he made it sound like he was from my electric provider, and they were walking the neiborhood letting everyone know that they were trying to keep our rates down, and wanted to make sure that we were using enough electric to do so. He asked to see my electric bill, which i did not have, so he said he could call AEP customer service to get it. He had them on speed dial, when he did, he handed me the phone and told me to just ask for my account service number.. Well when AEP customer service answered the phone, i told them IGS was standing at my door looking for my service number, and she then explained to me that they were trying to get me to change my service over. Which the guy at my door never said anything about... These guys are tricky, if its ligit, and would have saved me money i probably would have changed. Now they just tried to sneak it in, I dont want to have any dealings with a company that would be deceptive to get my business.
- illinois suburbs replies to tinaevidently IGS energy is doing the same thing as what Tina described, now with respect to ComEd electric, in our neighborhood outside of Chicago
When i got home from work, my wife informed me a salesperson asked to see our ComEd bill. wtf? I won't do business with people like this on principle alone. All rates can be gathered online, Choice can work if your willing to read the fine print on your contracts. Unless you are using a lot of energy, it's not worth your time (or money) long term however as you will likely slip/forget, unless you are really on top of all of your various contract re-ups.
If I had been home when someone asked to see my ComEd bill, I would've sent his ass runnin - andrewi work for a small law firm in the chicago suburbs (sorry, we don't practice any law relating to this) and some girl called us everyday for the last week trying to reach my boss. thankfully our system is set up so that you have to leave a voicemail for him unless you know his 'secret' number that makes all the phones ring or his actual extension so the harassment really doesnt bother us. i just immediately delete the message as soon as i hear the loud background noise of the boiler room. next time she calls ill put the number she leaves on this site.
also, she keeps it vague and in this business that immediately raises red flags everywhere. she says rather urgently that she needs to, "discuss our energy bill"- Caller: IGS
