Just moved to California this June and started getting these calls for fundraisers. I gave a donation once and now the phone won't stop ringing. Sometimes 2-3 times in one day! I don't answer anymore. I wish there was a way they could be blocked, it's harassment.

Got a call fromt his number today... and they said that they represented NASA and are taking donations for the familys of fallen Alien Tourists who's ship had crashed whiel visiting Earth.

They also offered with a "gold" donation of $40 a plaque and photo proving alien life and "most likley" the actual fmaily menber who would recieve the money.

I gave them the money.. and have since been visited twice by aliens who have thanked me personally for my care and support.

These callers are more or less mercenary telemarketers who are hired by a certain organization, usually a state wide police union. What really makes me mad is that somehow it is assumed that I have money to spare to subsidize their union life insurance premiums! I don't call up their local asking for donations to my life insurance! Now they are calling my cell phone burning up minutes! I do have alot of respect for the police but its just wrong to hit up other people for this.

I have received many calls from 877-749-7846 recently. Caller ID always displays Toll Free Service. I believe it is a fundraising organization for local law enforcement. I answered one of their calls about 4-5 weeks ago and now they call me constantly. They claim to be collecting donations for the Arkansas State Fraternal Order of Police. I told them I'd donate the first time they called. Now I won't answer when I see their number show up on Caller ID. I decided I'd call it back (just a few minutes ago). A recording picks up stating they are the Fundraising Information Center, tried to reach me to help raise funds for an organization in my state.

We just got our phone number.  They are calling every morning at the same time, and up to 4 times a day.  They never leave a message. If we pick up no one answers.  

If you can get them to answer, tell them to take your number off their list immediately and not to call back.  They tried to say that our number had fallen off the "do not call" list after the five year limit.  (the list was created in 2003!

Just got a call from 877-749-7846 number and they wanted to give me Gold Master Card on behalf of the Nebraska Police, honoring two fallen officers, but to give them a small donation.... WHATEVER! They have been calling my house everyday. I am recording the time and day of every call on my caller ID and I am filing a complaint. They call at 8:46am, 12:40pm, 2:40pm, 4:31pm there's no set time, it's a computer that randomly calls the same number over and over again until someone answers. Your best bet is to answer it and say NO. I did, so lets see how long it takes them to call me back.

This number keeps calling.  I don't know what or who it is, I would like for the calls to stop.  I am almost ready to change my number and have it unlisted because of calls like this!

I am about to go to local police or my phone company and see how i can sue this company whoever they are for calling me 4-5 times a day and after we are all trying to sleep already too! Ridiculous! Im on the do not call list for a freakin reason! I answered it and no 1 was there, called back & no ringing or anything. SO next time they WILL get an earful from me if they FINALLY say something in response to my HELLO.

I get calls from this number 3 or 4 times a day, for about a week each month, it's REALLY annoying.  I never answer the phone as I do not pick up if I do not recognize the number.  

MAKE IT STOP!

They called me stating they were with The Maine Federation of Fire Fighters...it's a FRAUD..Spread the word about these jerks.

A million other places, and the Fraternal Odor of Police here in VA.  I found out this morning when one called while I was blissfully dozing.  MPI is known in AZ to hire felons and under 18's for its call center.  This is likely the source of their high-quality brand of customer service.  They generally pay between $7-$9/hr. and you can apply in person!

A few years back, I had one tell me that if I didn't donate, he would send the cops around.  I cackled, and hung up.  When I saw they had recently said that to someone else, I figure this information should come to light.  Call them, let them know what you think of these practices, and the practice of "diverting" money destined for charities into their own pockets.

I just got a call for my husband from 877-749-7846, they asked for him by his first name and the attitude they took was as if they were an old friend. I said he wasn;t here and they said they would call back later when he could be here. How do they know he'd be here later? Who's to say he isn't away for a few weeks or whatever. I asked who it was and they stumbled on their words and I asked where theyw ere calling from, and he said DI or Dime or something, then said he'd call back later and hung up on me as I was asking what he was calling about. I called back the phone # and it said that it was the Fundraising information ceneter and tried to conatct us regaring a public saftey center in our area, and that if you have any questions about teh call to press 1, so I did thenit tells you to enter you hone 3 at the tone and a representatie will call you back. I hung up. I get alot of telephone calls a day from telemarketers and people looking for money. I work to pay MY bills, not yours. I also was getting a call from 000-000-0000 it would come up as "Name Not Found" they called like 4 -5 times a day, I eventually hadto put a block on the #, it seems to have worked. Almost 1 week free from that phone #. Now lets see how long it takes to get these guys off our back! I'll post more info on them if they call back.

Called 3 times in 3 hours!

I live in Maine...they call me 2-3 times a day 7 days a week. Call blocking *77 does not block them. IF I answer, they say nothing...a dead line. If I do not answer, it rings until the answer machine gets it and they leave no message. SICK OF IT!!!

6 incoming calls from same number in 11 days..........no msg left on answering machine

Called from the 877-749-7846 number.  My phone cut out so left me curious as number is not familiar.  Is there a way to not receive calls from those who fear to clearly and fully reveal themselves?
