Recorded MD authorization info.

recorded message robo call.  said I had to call Blue Shield about a prior authorization.  I called the BS benefits center number instead and asked them and they said there was nothing going on, so I highly suspect this is a scam caller who got a lit of BS members and is calling them in an attempt to spearfish.  BS is reporting the number to their investigation department.

This is a scam.  Robocall asking for personal information that the Blue Shield company would already have.  Don't fall for their trickery !!

They're still calling.  Called yesterday and today and the recorded message has not changed.  I'll call BS again and report them again.

Got a recorded message from this number last night... claimed to be Blue Shield regarding a prior authorization.  Will report the number to BS.

Voice mail on my cell phone.  Robo call claiming to be from Blue Shield.  Did not sound legit. I did not return the call.

If you know who called, why did you look up the number?

I just called blue shield and they verified that this is NOT them.

This is a legit number. I am having issues with prior authorization on my post op medication. I was discharged from the hospital and Blue Shield denied me my post op medication. Blue Shield customer service is the worst in the world! They will tell you it is not Blue Shield that called from this number but it is. It is the Pharmacy Authorization number and you have to have a 9 digit number to get a live person. It is not a scam.

How do we know that you are not fake too?!

It is legit. I have gotten the call two different times for prescriptions that needed preauthorization. The call was to tell me the pre authorization has been approved.

I called Blue Shield about this number and its to their Pharmacy Auth Dept. and they knew about it. NOT FAKE.
Even the 7 digit reference # was legit for the BS cust service and they told me a my heart med (yes , they told ME the name of it) that is wa now OK'd for me to get it.

Probably same reason I looked it up. Didnt recognize the number and the recording didnt sound legit from someone CLAIMING to be BLShield. Turns out to be a Legit call from them Pharm Auth Dept. telling me that my once declined Heart med has been ok'd for me to keep getting it.

Its easy enough to check if you are a Blue Shield member.Call the number on the back of your card. They would know if a recording from the Pharm dept was sent to the phone number on your account.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to call Blue Shield then? It's clear there's doubt about this number so better to call a known number for them than trust posts on the Internet.

Pre-recorded message about prior authorization, states my name, asks for DOB. I do have a prior authorization processing, but I hung up because I thought it was fishy to ask for this info. I called BS and the agent couldn't find the number in their directory, but said it could be affiliated through some other means. And my PA didn't have any updates BS would call about. Seems to be inconclusive, but calling a known BS customer service number like 888-256-3650 can verify whatever needs to be verified.

This is an automated call from Blue Shield Pharmacy Authorization stating that my special med. is approve for Pharmacy refill.
