- Correction replies to SuebyIf they refuse to put something in writing, stop paying them! If they threatned to damage your credit rating, it is likely they have already tried. File a formal complaint against the Agency with Consumer Protection, a real government agency.
- Correction replies to fudge manThis information you have provided in sarcastic post is not necessarily correct. Many of these so called credit bureaus have purchased debt from other companies that may not have procured the bad debt in the first place. If an organization has falsified information regarding a false debt owed to them and then hired the Credit Bureau of Canada to intervene. The company has sold the alleged debt to the CBC for a fraction of the alleged debt, at which point the CBC attempts to collect the entire alleged debt which the individual may not have accrued in the first place. Rogers Communications is a text book example of a comapny that falsely alleges accrued debt, then sells "the debt" to agencies such as the CBC. If you have not accrued legitimate debt, do not feel intimiated. Do not pay any monies no matter the threat and contact the Consumer Protection Agency or the Police and have the alleging organization charged with Fraud and/or Criminal Harassment. If the Police refuse to lay the charges, lay a Private Information with a Justice of the Peace, yourself.

- AnnoyedI've had my home phone # since March 2012 and the woman that had the phone # before me never paid ANY of her bills. I've been getting her collection calls non-stop since, including this company. When you call, they don't even say who they are. The guy answered, "hi, can I help you?" I told him you called me - what for? Again they are looking for this Nashley Sheradi woman. They said they'd remove me from their list. We'll see if the calls stop. If anyone knows this individual, tell her to pay her *#%@ing bills!

- AllisonI tried to tell them they have an incorrect number but they were just rude and yelled at me to PAY MY BILLS. So it seems like there is no reasonable way to deal with them.
For some reason my call blocker identifies it as "Spam - Alan"- Call type: Debt collector
- kI had a couple calls from this number 877-817-8766 and online searched it and read the comments on here, then decided to call back. I let them now the number they are calling is new to me. The person I spoke with was super nice and apologized and removed the number from the associated accounts.

- AnonymousI made a settlement offer to CBCC because they were willing to accept a reasonable amount, removing all the disputed Rogers charges on my account and even a little bit more. I had to specifically request the offer in writing. Unfortunately, still within the settlement offer period, and after I agreed to it, they continue to call and request terms outside of their own written settlement offer. Additionally, while she has always been polite and professional, the agent on the phone has been quite misleading at times and "economical with the truth" at other times.
I strongly suggest you get anything to agree to IN WRITING, keep your own documentation, and hold them to their own written agreement. Don't transact any business verbally with them. They have agreed in writing to "report this file as settled in full to the credit bureau within 30 days" after I have paid the agreed-upon amount within the agreed-upon time period, but their conduct so far has left me rather suspicious they will actually do so unless I pressure them. I trust CBCC about as much as a basket of rattlesnakes.- Caller: CBCC

- ToastieCSF Receivables Management purchased very old debts from Cash Store (Pay Day Loans) - approximately $300 MILLION worth
Credit Bureau of Canada Collections / Collectcents / CBCC is the collection agency attempting to collect on these debts
The collection agency calling on their behalf gives differing information depending upon who you speak to.
They cannot/will not provide proof of the debt -
THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT
They are reporting OLD debt on Credit Reports as NEW - This is not Legal
Statue of Limitations would insure that the debt is removed from your credit file after a specific amount of time since you have last made a payment / or the last date a payment was presumably made (ie Charge Off Date)
(By province the # of years may differ - in New Brunswick it is 6 years)
DO NOT MAKE A PAYMENT ON THIS DEBT (unless you are 100% CERTAIN that you owe it, and it is within the Statute of limitations).
DEMAND the proof of the debt, and they will tell you it is a minimum of 6 months. In the MEANTIME HAVE THEM SEND YOU:
LETTER ON COMPANY LETTER HEAD
INCLUDING: COMPANY NAME YOU OWE MONEY TO
INCLUDING: COMPANY OWED'S ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBER
INCLUDING: CHARGE OFF DATE
INCLUDING: CONTACT NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AT CBCC- Caller: Credit Bureau of Canada Collections

- SharonI've been getting calls from this number for ages and I've just been ignoring them. I finally called the number and reached the Credit Bureau of Canada Collection Agency, based in Mississauga. The person I spoke to asked me if I was "Nicole" and I replied that I'm not. She asked me if I knew a "Nicole" and I replied that I probably knew a few but none with my last name and my phone number. She said that "Nicole" had probably given them my number. I told her they are a bunch of scammers and to take my number off the list. She agreed to de-list my number but....we'll see.
