I used this service.  If she paid 600.00 she was ripped off.  I did not pay that but my pet means a lot to me and I will do what ever it takes to find him.  Sorry if all you  uncaring people are upset your phone rang.

I've read the comments here and think this is a bunch of crap! My mom has demintia and doesn't like surprises or calls from people she doesn't know! She has caller ID and doesn't answer the phone unless she recognizes the number, she also hates when Mormons come to the door after dark.(she has a no soliciting sign, which apparently they can't read or don't care) She is on the DO NOT CALL LIST!  This company should not be exempt! We have no neighbors with a lost cat! Stupid phone company won't let her block calls without paying a fee. She is on SS and only has enough for what she has, doesn't need any more money going out!

I can never understand that if someone has dementia , their loved ones would allow them to be tormented with a phone that allows all sorts of scam callers. I would have whitelisted it so only people they should be talking to can still contact them.

Only if they were trying to sell you goods or services would you being on the DNC list make them criminals.  You obviously did not read what calls are covered by the DNC list when you signed up and mistakenly believe that all unwanted calls are covered. Only sales and sales lead generation calls are covered and required to screen against the list before calling.

I received a recording on my answering machine saying there is a lost cat (with description of the cat) in my area.  Unfortunately, the area the message left was approximately over 90 miles away from my city.  Another odd part of the message was,  it said to press 2 to be removed from the their do not call list.

That is odd. You'd think pressing 2 would add you to their do not call list instead of remove you from it.

Got a message about a lost cat and referring me to lostmydoggie.com for a picture.  I'd tried going there but got a message:

This site can’t provide a secure connection
    www.lostmydoggie.com uses an unsupported protocol.

At that point I'm out.  Furthermore the street where the cat belongs is possible but a bit of a hike to my house.  I think that Nextdoor is a better place for such listings.

Wow!  These people really get around telephone-wise. Where is area code 818?  We answered the call. They said someone was looking for a grey cat named Nala. Appeared to be someone in a neighborhood about a mile south of us. Good luck finding a cat with no more description than grey. This sounds a little like a scam to me. In our case they said to push “2” to be put on their Do Not Call list. But I would like to know the following; does the grey cat have a collar on?  Is it long-haired or short-haired. Any other distinguishing characteristics. Lack of detail makes me think it is a scam or maybe just a reasonable way to find a lost pet, but unless “Nala” is capable of holding a conversation, I doubt I will be discovering this person’s lost pet by grabbing all of the grey-ish feral cats that roam our neighborhood. Also, Do people really think their cats will have long lives when they let them run loose?  We constantly see cats when walking in our neighborhood. I suppose “Nala” could still be alive, and may not have been torn apart by coyotes or hit by a car by now, or perhaps she has feline leukemia if her owners think cats are “born free” and should be allowed to wander the neighborhoods at will. Caring cat owners will keep their cats inside and never let them run loose. Blocking this number and not likely to call the 818 area code to contact the cat’s owners.

Robocalled here about a supposedly lost cat - LostMyCat.com - but gave an out of the area number.  Could been 903 ## as well, but thought 502.  Ought to keep a pen and pad by the phone, if I wasn’t skeptical - and Flat Tired and Stihl Mower Irritated. Could be legit, or phishing but . . . coincidentally someone I do know just posted on FB about finding escaped cattle,
And the local NBC station has a lost and found pet segment.
