Actually, they do send out flyers to every vet and shelter in the area. Also, many of the people who have lost theirs pets have had them returned because of the amber alerts from services like "lostmydoggie" and "pet amber alert"...They have proven to be VERY effective! Anyone who complains about a phone call like this seems to be sad and/or bitter. It isn't a big deal... Someone lost their beloved pet and wants to find him/her. Big deal. Get over it!!

No, not if it means breaking the law and harassing my neighbors. The only people exempt from DNC are politicians, surveys and charities. All profit-making companies like lostmydoggie are subject to DNC and *lying* when they say they are exempt. If you think your lost dog is more important than my privacy, you're wrong. Go look for you dog, hang up posters, ask around your neighborhood, but please don't invade people's privacy.

Mel's comment is completely harmless IMO. All he did was report his experience. Which part of his comment did you find mean?

Like it or not, you may not break the law in looking for your lost dog. I understand your anguish but you refuse to understand that a lost dog does not give you the right to invade your neighbors' privacy when they're on the DoNotCall list. No need to libel your neighbors who value their privacy as "sad and/or bitter," is there?

A few minutes ago I got a call while I was in the shower the answering machine picked up I could here part of the message saying something about an alert, the message kept repeating over and over for several minutes. I had to get out of the shower to find out what was going on, this thing kept repeating an incomplete message about a lost dog but it would not stop. Legitimate or not I do not appreciate the disturbance, if I wasn't home this thing would have kept my line tied up for who knows how long. When a child goes missing I don't see a service that goes around calling peoples homes to report it, why is someones pet more important? I pay for my phone service just like everyone else if I choose not to be receiving these types of calls that should be the end of it. What they are doing is wrong, people there are other ways of doing things that won't irritate half the population use your local resources ask to post a picture of the missing pet at you local stores take out an add in the local paper etc.

oh poor you and your ''privacy''...it's not like they're trying to sell you something...you can't roll over and answer the phone? why is it such a constitutional issue for someone to try and help find a pet? what ever happened to "help a brother out"?

...and another thing...you sound as though you are speaking for your neighbors...are you? are all of your neighbors behind you in your stance to not help people find their pets? i doubt it...you are probably the one that does'nt even know most of your neighbors or even have a pet...we have spent a lot of time, gas and uneasy feelings looking for our dog...we've had her and her sister for 2 years...since they were 6 weeks old...we love her and want her back...you prolly scream at your family when you can't find the remote...people like you bend the harmony and keep the world skewed and unsure thinking you have the all american voice when in actuality you would'nt even have an opinion if you did'nt turn on your television...you sir suck...I said you suck

I see.... and I blocked you!
Well I wont be bugged by you anymore today. I blocked your number and you called 5 times in a row while I was in the pocess of blocking you. 5 calls in less than 5 mins? gezz! bug someone elese now im out of the calling loop. Sorry you lost your dog. ask your satalight or cable provider if you have phone service with them how to take advantage of the many call features available most at no extra cost, that is how i found out about blocking. Some have a website to go to with alot of nice extras that I was not aware of im dumping the junk calls as they come in to a list I control from computer or smartphone ask people and you may just have the control  you want with these crank dialers that dont stop calling. My face has a big smile as I added another to the block.

Yet another phone call from a company that i don't want to HEAR from.  What a dumb and evasive way of trying to find a lost pet.  If it's legit.  I spoke with a coworker and he said this is a front for another company seeking to get your personal information for telemarketers.  Does anyone like telemarketers?  Go figure.

If you have a dog, put a collar on it with a proper name tag.  If you find a dog, either check the tag and call the owner or call animal control and report the stray dog.  If people do that, who need the junk calls?  If they won't, how are junk calls going to help?

It is actually a legitimate service. Someone in your neighborhood lost a dog or cat.  The owner paid to have a couple hundred people robo-called on behalf of the animal. The have a 70% success rate so it's not the worst thing in the world.

Just got a call from this company.  It doesn't bother me since they aren't asking for money.  I can understand, though, people getting upset if they receive several calls from this service.  On the other hand I can also understand how desperate people can get to find a missing pet.  Everyone should try to chill out a bit.  There are bigger issues in life than getting calls about a missing pet.

You sound like a troll for the company. It is up to people if they want to be disturbed on their precious and limited time off by some robocall which sounds a lot like other phishing scams. I really don't care about someone's pet if they don't care enough about it to keep a leash or at least a collar on it. You suck, idiot. If you think your problem should be absorbed by a thousand other strangers, you're wrong

I'm with you on this.  A lost pet does not warrant the interruption to my day.  It's their pet, their responsibility.  Don't drag me into that crap.  Harmony with neighbors means staying out of each others' business.  While I'm for the proper care and respectful treatment of pets and animals, they aren't children.  Some people act like they are, but they're not.  And yes, I cried like hell when my dog died, so it's not like I'm a Bambi killin' freak or something.  You wanna knock on my door and tell me what's up, that's way more productive to me than a robo-call; I might actually give a shirt then.

Think about it.  Is this a real live person who lost their dog writing a valid post about how wonderful this service is?  Or could it be the rasafratchers who keep calling even when we have DNC, who are trying to validate their existence with lies?
