Caller ID Out of area. Got recorded message from lostmykitty.com for missing pet. Message had a callback number in New York City; I’m on the west coast.  No way that cat made it across the country.  Wondering if the callback number is legit or not.

If your pet was missing and or stolen and you had NO IDEA if they were safe, cold. Scared or hungry, wouldn't you want every resource possible looking to reunite you with your baby? That's all that is going on, someone hoping against hope that they will find their beloved pet, so have some empathy and decide that it's not the end of the world to get a few unwanted calls in the grand scheme of being a good person who wants other people to find their own happiness. It's called being a human being

It's a wonderful service that's helping animals and their owners become reunited after being torn out of one another's arms either From getting lost or stolen. It's actually a GOOD thing, not like someone trying to change your long distance carrier, do let this one slide huh?

Called 3 times within 5 minutes ringing 10x each before hanging up and immediately ROBOADIALING back.
Many complaints across the www about how they scam people to fork over their credit card info to supposedly help locate lost pets and doing NOTHING
This so-called "lost pet finding svc" gets an A- BBB rating obviously due to few complaints to the Beeb.

REPORTED TO MY CALL BLOCKING SVC AS A SCAM!

This is absolute BS.  I already get 16-24 unsolicited scam calls every single day (including weekends) that I cannot seem to stop and now someone in their infinite wisdom who lives 6-8 miles away decides to use an exempt spam service to add to my daily ire.  I only have 100 numbers I can block and I have exceeded that limit for well over a year now with a constant barrage of unwanted calls from a country full of inconsiderate louts.  None of these callers seem to even care that there in a Federal DNC program and service providers will do absolutely nothing about their guilty subscribers.

Maddas, I agree with you 100%. Everything you said is factual and true. I am so glad someone gets it. These calls come into my home landline every day in Dallas, 5-8 times a day. I bought a Panasonic phone with 50 call block. That filled rapidly so I bought same brand with 250 call block. That filled up so I bought an 800 call blocker on Amazon. That is 1050 blocked numbers and I still have to release some every month to make room for more frequent numbers. I am with you my friend. I get it.

Got one call (so far) about a dog lost yesterday (12/22/2021) 5 blocks away from me - via voicemail left.   I'm ok with 1 call with a voicemail, especially since it's so close by.   There ae complaints about this # on this site going back to 2009 to the present, many saying they get multiple calls without voicemail.  We all hate those.   Still don't see this as DNC compliant, though. Somehow this place is still in business despite vows to shut it down for harassment.

It's from a pet finding service that helps people find their lost pets by robo-calling numbers in the area. Block the number if it bothers you that much.
