- Brian replies to BEWARE!! SOCIAL ENGINEERING!!It's a phishing expedition for personal info. It also tells them that you have a "live" number when you call back. They will bundle all your info - even just your phone number alone - and sell it on the scammers and theives online market. You can look up the Federal Do Not Call site and file a report (look for a .gov ending on the link). It's easy to do, but the Feds don't seem to be following up on complaints very often these days. If they do catch those people, the fines are really humongous, so it's probably worth a try.
- EmilyReceived two of these calls at my work on a number that isn't listed. Interesting! I Googled their name and read the complaints on the BBB website. Some of these people said DRS is dinging their credit reports! If you file a complaint with BBB on their website you will get a response back. Most of the responses look just as robot as the voice that calls, some have more personal responses.
- Mike Thomas & Thomas Termite replies to KRJYES, WE GOT THAT CALL TODAY ON OUR PERSONAL LINE ALONG WITH OUR BUSINESS LINE
- dmooreReceived a recorded call at office indicating they needed someone to call the back, tired of spam calls I called them to tell them to take the number off their list. Dynamic Recovery Solutions is apparently a junk debt collector, attempting to profit from alleged debts that are way past the statute of limitations/not on credit reports.

- Mr. Legitimate| 1 replyGot a call from someone that leaves a message just as everyone else describes. What is interesting is that the caller calls under a caller ID with the same area code as my phone. Dynamic Recovery Solutions. Real dynamic. Calls you using an IP phone with their caller ID spoofed to match your area code, hoping you'll pick up because it's local to you. Doesn't leave a name. Real dynamic. Totally static script that could be applied to anyone under the sun. Doesn't ask for anyone by name. Seen in these comments here people describing the lady, her static DRS script, and "act now" salesmanship.
So, I like to dig deeper and do some research. That's why they call me Mr. Legitimate. Destroying whole facades one simpleton scammer at a time. A little bit of toll-free number lease information research turns up the following shining nuggets of information:

See something here? The number given in the voicemail keeps being disconnected and then renewed. "Reserved" shows when the number is assigned to someone. "Company" is the company that owns the number and leases it out to people. "Referral number" is the number you call to make complaints to if the leasee is behaving badly or if the FBI needs to track the scumbags down. We as potential victims should call this number and make a complaint. I got this lease information from 800ForAll dot com's "Who owns this toll free number" feature in the upper-righthand portion of their website.
XO Communications is the company that has leased this 877 number out to whoever these deuschbags are. Turns out, XO Communications is an IP phone service provider. Why is this significant? Well, with traditional telephone services, you can't spoof your caller ID. That's set by the phone company, and there's no way to change that. With IP phones, at the virtualPBX end, you have to provide the caller ID information, then it gets converted from digital to analog and trunked into the traditional "Plain Old Telephone System" network.
In short, I'm sure there's a pattern here. Fact of the matter is beyond any doubts I have, everything I've researched shows they are using an IP phone system. Which. Is. Not. Hard. To. Spoof. CallerID. And can be done multiple times a day, indefinitely. All from a WebAdmin Control Panel.
Do you also get calls that appear to originate from your area code? I'm sure you do. Dynamic tactics as a doornail. Nothing dynamic about this.- Caller: Static Azz Dynamic Recovery Solutions

- CallerIDFreakBeen getting the same call from a woman from Dynamic Recovery Solutions. Asks for no one by name, no office hours, doesn't identify herself, caller ID # doesn't match any DRS #. We've had calls from legit collection agencies due to being POA for a victim of an elder abuse case, and they always ID themselves and ask for a specific person. Gotta be a scam.
