i have been getting calls from this number and, interestingly, from someone who claims to be a rep of Chase Bank and I'm beginning to think there's a tie somewhere.

Whatever.  If I don't know the number or the ID on my caller ID, I don't answer the phone.

I received a call from Richard at Merrick Bank today. He was very rude and would not give me his name or company name until I requested it several times. He laughed at me. He was asking for a person that did not live at my phone number nor a person I know. He said I was lying and that I was the person of interest to him. We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST. This is unacceptable.

These knuckleheads are randomly calling numbers... I have a number (on Skype) that is not listed or associated with my name and they call it regularly and want to sign me up for some [***] credit card.  They have no idea who they are calling - they are just going down the list in numeric order.

They were calling on behalf of my CC company (Geico Mastercard) to inform me that I had gone over my limit by $18.

Chances are they are calling everyone on behalf of some credit card company because of overdue/over limit/account changes. You should probably answer the phone.

We receive several calls a week on our answering machine from a female named Raven asking us to call this number. My husband and I have both tried called them back, but the person answering has no information about someone named Raven working there. He also could give us no information on the nature of the call. We are now just deleting and ignoring the messages.

I just changed my cell phone number on Virgin Mobil over the weekend and got a call from this number at 8:00am Monday morning.  I did not answer the call.  I have an HSBC card but do not owe anything on my account.  The phone number I was issued may be from a previous Virgin Mobil customer.  The last time I changed my phone number I started regularly getting calls for someone named Gomez.  When I started getting calls from attorneys then I changed my number.  This happened to me once before with phone calls for someone I didn't know and eventually led to someone sending a private investigator to my front door and threatening my wife to stop denying who we really were.  I told the P.I. to get off my property or I would call the cops.

The easiest way to handle the situation is cancel the card you have with the credit card company and change your phone number.  The harrassment annoyance will probably stop if you get rid of these to links to yourself.

The 877-847-0125 number probably does a whole lot of different tasks for many credit card companies.  Mine was probably a ping to vaidate the number I changed with one of my credit cards.

Called trying to sell an accidental death life insurance policy issued thru Merrick Bank.
Became very rude when I explained that I was not interested.
Why don't these telemarketers get a life and leave me alone.
If I wanted to buy ANYTHING I would not trust someone over the phone who has called out of the blue!

I keep getting sales calls after being on th Do Not Call List.
I can't believe anyone would buy something over the phone from someone they don't even know.
Once you give out your personal information they could really screw you.
I think its best to ignore these dumbas@&^$#s
