they called me and they DID leave a voicemail! saying:

"Hello this is tina thomas from R America. I've got some good news for you. the good news is you have been selected for our $1,000 online gift certificate. The bad news is i'm not talking to you. so can you please contact me so i can please get that out to you. Your claim number is T as in thomas 45 45. Once again congratulations."

she called again later at night. she didn't leave a message this time.

I have been trying to get on your "do not call" list for three days now. Reading America is calling me almost every hour, and each time I tell the person to put me on the DNC list, and each time they say they will and they do not and then I receive another call. If you truly want to help people here, give us the address and phone number of the corporate office, or the CFO's cell number, so we can keep complaining until the phone calls stop.

called because I had (accidently) been on the prizerewardcenter.com site the previous day. Scam.

received a call from it, obviously im lucky enough to get a 1000 bucks reward

yeah i fell for it as well. Then directly after i did realizied it was a scam did you get in touch with customer service number to cancel because no one is picking up at the moment. If no one picks up should i cancel my card?

I got call from this number 4 times in single day asking for a guy named Dave. After telling them the first time that they had wrong number, they keep on calling three more times same day...... Can't believe this.

I got a call three days ago (May 26) and was dumb enough to believe them.  I am going to contact someone to get out of this.

THey called me on my cell and said I won 1000 dollar shopping spree due to my good credit rating, and to buy the 6 magazines at 49.90 a month for 20 months on July 16, 2010 and said I could cancel anytime once I receive notice in mail. they charged my card 49.90 the same day.  It is now July 24 and I still have not received anything from them. I tried to call the number and have been hearing "please continue to hold, your call is very important to us" for the past half hour. I feel like such a sucker.

Just got a call from this number saying Congratulations to me for winning a prize! Then they asked for my credit card info.and it was so they could prove I was over 18...they come up with all sorts excuses to get your info! Don't give it to them under ANY circumstances...It is a scam and you will more than likely get your identity stolen!

i got a call from them after hours (all telemarketing calls are supposed to stop at 8:00 pm) i informed the guy of this and he responded that he's not a telemarketer and that i signed up for it and continued his pitch. had to hang up on him. now i'm looking to report them.

So this chick Ashley calls me saying i won and $1000 gift certificate, well my sister who sounds just like me answered my cell phone.  Thought it sounded good so she got in my wallet and gave them my credit card info and everything.  The good thing I thought was she wrote down the info, so the next day when I check my bank account(IT WAS CHARGED).  I called the customer service number and told them my sister answered their call on MY phone and I want it cancelled...they asked to talk to her(SHE DOESN'T LIVE WITH ME) they said since she is the one that agreed they had to talk to her. So they wouldn't cancel the order.  OK who is willingly going to call a company you lied to and tell them you pretended to be your sister because you thought you had 3-5 days to warn her about the SH*T you pulled?

How are these people getting away with this for so long if it really is a scam?  The select your gifts website exists.  I actually was able to get through to an admin part and found that the company that runs it is located in Riveria Beach, FL.  Has anyone ever gotten the certificate for $1000?  The website states that you have to pay a $5.00 processsing fee on all orders and you are responsible for shipping and handling costs.  The site does not mention Read America though.

I just filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission (http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm) and if enough people do the same thing maybe these suckers will be put out of business for a while.  There are several sights that have multiple complaints about this company on them.  I wish I had thought to research them before I gave them any information.  By the way, the complaint form is online for the Federal Trade Commission and you can give as little or as much personal info as you want.  You don't have to speak to anyone.

I stupidly filled out a survey from a website that I thought was for the Ellen show, but it was a scam and now this number keeps calling me.
