Same deal here:  message on T-mobile from 3703 "onlinebanking@alert.bankofamerica.com / Sorry -- we've temporarily blocked your card for security purposes. Contact us at 1-877-865-2709.  Thank You. /" Smelled a rat.  No direct B of A card, but enough plausibility to give concern.  Glad I checked this site!

I received this text message :

onlinebanking@alert.bankofamerica.com / Sorry__we've temporarily blocked your card for security purposes. Contact us at 1-877-865-2709.Thank You

I did not call, I was sure it was a scam since I don't even hold a bank account at Bank of America. It's sad to see how many people fall for this.

Bogus text to my T-Mobile Cell Number from onlinebanking@alert.bankofamerica.com.
"Sorry-We've temporarily blocked your card for security purposes.  Contact us at 877-865-2709".

Asks for your card number right away when you call without any company indentification in their automated system.  Never give your account number over the phone OR in a text!

Just called T-mobile and reported this 877-865-2709 Phishing scam. I was advised by customer service to log in to mytmobile.com and set up a phishing filter for my cellphone. I recommend calling them and letting them know your phone number information has been breached.
