Laura, first tell them to CEASE and DESIST calling you because you are not the person they are looking for.  Be sure to use the words "CEASE and DESIST."  Do not give them any information about yourself.  Ask for an address to which you can send a CEASE and DESIST letter.  File a complaint here:

If they call you again after this, file a lawsuit.  It is not your debt.  Don't let them coerce or intimidate you.

I received a call from Anthony wanted to speak with my wife, and  they had my address and her full name. He said that she owed $4,200 on a discover credit card, but we do not own a credit card from discover. So, he wanted me to give her number and I said I would call her. He wanted me to give him a time frame. I don't have a time frame because I am still on the phone with him. I tried to call Global Credit & Collection Corp - ConsumerAffairs.com I received a voice mail and they gave this email address for a quick response: www.assglo.com, but it has nothing to do with Global Credit. So, I believe these CRIMINALS are trying to get more sophisticated at extracting information from unsuspecting victims. For now on If I do not receive anything in the information.

Got phone call from 1-877-865-9816. When you dial it back. It says it belongs to Global Credit and Collection Corp. By my standards, that qualifies as a collection agency.

to be clear, they are known under a few names, they use a so called lawyers name of Howard L. Waldman who is NOT a lawyer and they even went as far as put up a lawfirm website in his name. According the Upper Law Society of Canada directory of paralegals and lawyers there is NOT SUCH lawyer or paralegal in Canada! So this is very illegal and have NO legal leg to stand on! NEVER answer them or confirm anything and block their number so that the calls go directly into vmail! Then delete the messages....also send them a cease and desist letter registered or hand deliver it. THEN SUE if they continue....they have many addresses and phone number and cmopany names that they use....When ever someone is asking for another person and if that person is you and you are not sue of the number calling, etc...ask them who is calling and NEVER confirm who answered the phone....example... phone rings, YOU...hello? CALLER is this? YOU who is calling? CALLER....we need to verify before I can answer.... YOU....click...the sound of you hanging up the phone.

This low life's call my house ...no kidding about 6 times a day...plus now I have no clue what they are calling about they won't tell me nothing they want me to give them my address , social security # I don't think so, the [***] are calling me so they should have all they need.Then said I owe $5000.00 from a shopping spree from QVC .. I never shopped their ever never in my life so checked my credit report and nothing on their either , so not even no I D theft someone shopped under my name so WTF ! Watch , what you tell these [***] .!!!!!!. Looks like they are fishing for information.. Do not even give them you house address ..if they are real they will already have it tell them to send you proof in the regular mail you owe a bill they are accusing of ...don't give them your email it could have a virus attached a and damage your computer ..this monsters prey on ppl that is how they make their $

I was called by this number I don't know who they are or what I owe because I never give my information out unless if I know they are a legitimate business or corporation

Get calls from different people saying different job titles.  They never give their name when asked.   I just hang up and don't respond.  Very annoying when it's my mothers phone and don't know how they got her number.

The number shows up on my caller i.d. When I dialed it back, it says it belongs to Global Credit and Collection Corp.

This is a debt collection company, call for twice one day, but I have no debt.
