This number calls several times a day. We do not answer. We answered the first time and they told me that I owed them money. I asked them to confirm who it was they were looking for."Tell me your address and I'll tell you if it matches what we have on file." I don't think so. I persisted. Finally, he gave me an address that I have never lived at and a name I haven't used in almost ten years. Right. Legitimate? I think not.

I have the numerous complaints about this number.  Maybe there is only way to stop them. Since our "Law and Order" government does not want to do anything that might deprive them of election funds by passing legislation with no loop holes.  If everyone who has complained came together to file a Class Action Suit against the companies involved we might be able to shut them down.  It is only a suggestion at this time.

Someone calls from this number at least 2 x a day. I have come home to this on my answering machine. First the ring of the phone, and then a female voice says, your call did not go through, please hang up and try your call again. First attempt to erase it does not work, so I have to go back and listen to part and erase. Very annoying. Who is this??? It comes up  CMS 1-877-894-0084 on my call display.

I am tired of receiving calls from this number.  I am going to write to the CRTC to suggest they take some action or be named as a co-defendant in a class action suit.

I've got 4 missed calls from them in the last 3 days. No one has left a message. The call display says "CMS". I was thinking it was something about medical tests I've been waiting for the results for, thinking it stood for Canadian Medical Services or something. Guess I'm wrong. I just called back to see who it was and it says Call Right Marketing Services and it asked you to leave your name and number if you want to be added to their DNC list and it says it will take 7 days. I did that so hopefully it works.

I'm on the DNC but I still get called by 1-877-894-0084 they say I've been chosen to win something. I'm so bloody sick of getting these calls that now what I do is I tell these people off so badly, I'm so rude and nasty to them that they probably have a nervous breakdown and quit their job when I'm finished with them.

I finally answered when CMS (18778940084) called. They said it's in regards to a newspaper subscription in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. I declined and the lady then asked me if it was ok to call in the future...I said no politely and then asked to be removed from their call list. She said she would...we'll see what happens. Hopefully now the on-going calls will stop!!

Multiple calls per day, they say they're from Eastlink (our local cable company) offering us stuff.  I'm already thinking of ditching Eastlink and going back to bell (FibreOp), and this might put me over the top.

Tried calling back.. it was for a voice mail box that was full.

Tried the number suggested on this site (514-894-4566) and it was the correct main number for Call Right Marketing Services.  No one answered their Operator number... there was a voicemail, but I doubt anyone checks it.  Might call back and randomly try an extension.  We'll see...

I have received numerous calls from this number as well. I phoned them this evening and was able to put my name on the DNC list. I will follow up with its effectiveness.

CMS 1-877-894-0084 keeps calling me dat and night. Sick of it. They often wake me.

I'm on the DNC list and it makes me irate to get any marketing crap from groups like this one.  I found their name and did some reserch on them.  

They are the Callright Marketing Servcie and the President of the company is Wayne A. Vanwyck.  If anyone lives in Kitchener, you should spit in his food.

His picture is on the website - and below is his email.  I hope everyone tells him what they think of his little enterprise.

I have cancer and am tired from chemo and this phone number 18778940084 CMA has harrassed me a dozen times this week during prime cell phone time. Rogers, my provider charges a ton of money for every call I pick up that is not on my TEN cheap numbers plan. I have tried phoning it. I have left a message with my name and number on the "if you're calling to be on our do not call list" and another angry message. the machine says it is a Cartwright marketing Association number or something like that? I cannot quite hear it cos when i call back it says the mailbox is full. the outgoing message says that they will basically keep prank calling me (nobody is on the line when i pick up and say hello) for another seven days before they take me off the list. help! how do we report these people to the authorities?

THX TO those who posted wayne's email address here and the Callright Marketing Service phone number. I really appreciate ur help. I phoned the company in kitchener and explained my situation. I emailed wayne. He emailed me right back with a sincere apology and so did a woman named cora at the company. if you call, wayne's extension is 350 i think. cora then phoned me a little later and heartily apologized. I was very impressed with their apology. would have been nice if the situation didn't force me to pay for the long distance call to kitchener, but thanks to all here for helping out. also impressed by how fast they apologized and remedied the situation and with the fact the ceo himself, wayne, emailed me back.

This is Ottawa Citizen harassing me, since they must think I am a good mark as a once upon a time  former subscriber.   I only read online now, for free through the library.    As a print newspaper they are going the way of the Dodo birds.
