I just got a call from thils lady saying the exact same thing. She said she was the courier and I needed to update my information so she could deliver me this letter.

I get the same.. we're calling to confirm your address to serve you with a summons for *county court house near you*  First, the sheriff who delivers the summons doesn't call you, and second you can look up on the court website for any judgements that will require a summons being delivered to you.THEY ARE FULL OF CRAP

These people keep calling my family due to a past due debt agency.

I have been receiving harrasing phone calls at work from J & R Processing (215) 347-8526, 877-908-6285 & 215 -504-1727.  They have contacted me I advised them I would meet them at the nearest police station to where I work or live and they hang up and continue to call. Please make this stop I do not want to loose my job over something like this.  I have donenothing wrong and they continue to threaten me with jail for life.  I have never been in trouble in my life other than a couple of parking tickets.

I guess I'm in good company.  I got a call from mike last week about some old debt...i don't owe anyone anything.  I looked up the info online about then and got a good laugh.  I wish they would.  Its good to be friends with the sheriff and police chief.

J& R called myself and my mother, very rude stating they are summonsing me to court. After my mother told them to just send the "summons" no more calls are required ( she knows its a scam) Mike from "J&R" told her she shouldn't be proud that she raised a scum bag.... clearly a scam! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR MONEY!

Received call from 214-473-4689  that they will be out at your home or place of business the pm the day of the call or first thing the next day to sign documents  They say to make sure you are available and have a valid ID ready to sign the documents. In the event that they go to your place of business, the ask that your supervisor have his or yours. Or I could call back 214-473-4318 to arrange another time to meet..really?  since when to process servers arrange an appointment?  Read all the reports on this fraud company...wow.

I got a call from Hyperion Recovery about a month ago, telling me that I owed a back payday loan. I have just filed bankruptcy and have been cleared. I have iam in the process of clearing up my credit these people con'ed me into giving them my information and got 285.00 out of me!!!!! I am pissed cause I didn't have that money to give I have a disabled child that I had to take away from to make sure they would not send this to check systems as they have told me!!!! Now I call them back and asked for there registered number on the BBB and they left me on hold for 20min. So I hung up. Its more to the story then this just am so pissed cant explain it all. I want these people in jail this is a SCAM and don't give them any info!!!!!!! I spoke with a Annette she left me on hold. That [***]!

I revcd a call from a girl name clemoms and she was calling from J & R Processing and she need for me to call this number 855-815-8420 to speak to someone and if not she will issue a warrant for my arrest and i told her yea.She sound like she was in a tunnel talking on the phone and the # came up private #. So she told me I have 24 hours to call this number and gave me a case no 830459. Maybe I will call  next week?? Scam they want you to get a prepaid card and pay the debit? Huh been down that road before.You can get me once and but not twice or three times.

Say they are wanting to serve me papers, state county I live in and everything but then proceed to tell me to call another number to get more info about what this pertains to and that can stop them from having to serve me the legal documents. Company they connect me with is a Hyperion Recover, at 855-402-0693. The number called from 214-504-2404 comes up as a cell phone in McKinney, TX. When I contacted Hyperion Recovery at 855-402-0693 and speak to them they dont give me any particular information just say I owe an amount and need to make payment arrangements but wont accept Moneygram, Western union or money order only bank account or prepaid debit card, they did give me an address of 2827 Transit Road, Elma, NY 14059 but that comes up as Phoenix Apparel. Best advice, beware and always ask for document proofing your debt, thats your legal right.

I just got a call at both my cell and home from an Alan White from J&R Processing stating that he had legal documents to serve me at my place of employment (I haven't worked there in over a year) in the next 4 hours or I could call and arrange a better time.  The number he was calling from was 214-613-1210.  I believe this to be a scam.

Brin - Call your bank immediately and dispute the charges. Tell them you were the victim of a phishing scam and are being targeted for further extortion. Tell them you are going to have to close the account and open another one because you dont know how many people are involved in the scam ring, file a police report, and a report with the FTC.

First they called my aunt asking for my boyfriend, using his middle name saying they had legal docs. So I called them from my personal cell and they returned my call at my work number! Worst thing they could of done I work at a law firm!!!! It was fishy since the first time I called, the voicemail message didn't have any info. Anywho- our call was completely funny! She said she was looking for my bf and then stated she had legal documents to serve. I asked what they were and her response was " I don't know m'am, they are sealed" I said ok, how about you give me your info and I'll pass it along for him to call. She completely ignored me and said all she needed was the name to put attention to for Embassy Suites. (WDF? Embassy Suites???) because according to her my bf works there. Complete bull! He's never even worked there. Then she goes to say she can serve us over the phone with the Sheriff, I was like ok go ahead, there is only one problem, you can't do that!!!!! Jesus! She should have at least looked up the number were I work. Completely stupid!!!! I hope they call me back on my cell so I can teller her off! By the way she didn't even state her name or the company she was with!!!! If you are scamming pull it together!!!


Please people be very aware and do some research before letting scammers bully you!!
If you recieve a call from 877-908-6285 or 214-390-9992 report it immediatly to the FTC, FCC, FBI, BBB and any state agencies.

This company-- phone # 214-299-5818 keeps calling saying they need to co firm a delivery to serve me papers. I live in Florida and this is a Plano, tx. #. Are they allowed to do this ??

Seriously, have you seen the rest of this thread? Does any reported behavior strike you as a sign of a legitimate business?

More to your point, if your job title was "process server" would you place courtesy phone calls before riding out to deliver the bad news? That's not how it works if your name is truly on some docket. What you heard was a common scare tactic, and most likely an empty lawsuit threat over moldy debt which may not even be valid. That kind of thing is very illegal per federal and state collection laws. The use of a non-local phone number could be perceived as misleading, another illegal move.

See that you keep detailed records of all phone calls with these goons. You'll need the evidence when you serve them a [i]real[/i] summons for violating your rights.

I have had several calls from a Megan @ 214-390-3520.  She said she had legal documents she had to serve me.  At first i was a little scared thinking what it could be, after having a small conversation with her she was pissed and eager to have my license susspended.  I told her to do what she needed to do and she then somehow started calling me from a TX ST OF DEP # 210-531-2240.  This number is bogus.  During the first conversation with her i asked for her address and she wouldnt give it to me.  Shortly after her manger called, i said i could give a call back after working hours thats when she said "this is not burger kind you can not have it your way" so i said well i can call you after 5 and  hung up.  

The calls started again today, i told her to do what she needed to do and if you have to show up to my work then so let it be, I have already discussed this matter with my supervisor.  She then threaten to have my License suspended and i told her ok because 2 days ago you said made the same threats. she was furios and said I was FKN retarted and hung up.

I know it's more than a little late to tell you not to worry, but, next time you can tell if the caller is a slimeball but reviewing the debt collection regulations. They're absolutely not allowed to threaten you with jail, etc.

As far as this person is concerned {I hesitate to even call them a company since it's probably just a very few people working out of their mom's basement}, they're clearly just using scare tactics to extort money they're not legitimately owed. The more they can upset people, the less likely they'll be to take a breath & have time to think about it logically...why in the world would anyone call to tell you they're serving papers? "Hi, we just wanted to let you know our process server is looking for you. We can trust you not to try to hide from him, or avoid being served, right?"

It's ludicrous! Unfortunately, many honest people fall for it, that's why they keep doing it.
