Do not respond to this number.  They have been reported to the Consumer Protection Division of the State Attorney's Office.
They attempted to process an unauthoriazed debit from my checking account.  I caught it and reported it right away.

Lesson Learned.  Do not respond to their calls.

I have no idea who this stupid company is.  I think they are one of those cash lending companies and they have NO RIGHT soliciting people for business.  They called my work and said they are MCI.  I have never done business with MCI and I do not think they are MCI.  I will call them and demand they stop calling..

I received a call from this number and did not pick up, but I returned their call.  They are MaxLend, a payday loan company, Someone had tried to take out a payday loan in my name, and they had my social security number and date of birth.  This company called to confirm that I requested the loan, that I agreed to the loan terms, and the checking account where the money was to be deposited and withdrawn.  I cannot tell you how thankful I am that they called to alert me to this activity.  I have been a victim of identity theft two times in the last 20 years.  It is conscientious companies such as this, using solid verification tactics before they disburse funds from electronic requests, that make me feel safer from thieves.

If you are receiving calls from them, just chill.  Call them back when you can, and find out why they called.  If they are offering something to you, it is probably because someone you know listed YOU as a reference on their application, and they are cold calling to make sure your number is valid.  While they have you on the phone, why not offer their services to you, too?  You can always say "no thank you" - you don't have to be ugly about it.  This is NOT a scam company.  They help people who need it and request it, and sometimes people who are attempting to commit fraud give out bad phone numbers thinking nobody will call.  And don't criticize for some people actually using payday loans - they might not be as financially savvy as you and are just trying to get by.

By the way, if you jump to conclusions and don't get all of the facts before you report a number to the State Attorney Office, they are not going to do anything.  I know because I USED TO WORK IN THEIR OFFICE!

5/5/14 17:00 I received a call from this number at 16:45, two rings and no one there.  I called back and a guy answered thanking me for calling back.  I asked who he was and what company this was.  He said "Stefan" I think, couldn't really understand him, company was Maxlend.  Then asked me for my SS#.  Something about cash loans.  I got very rude with him and he didn't hang up.  I said to never call here again and I hung up.
This was on my cell phone which is on the Do Not Call list.  Only family and very close friends have this number.

Maxlend is a Payday loan Co but probably one of the better ones out there and is legit.  If they call you, they got your name somehow but just kindly ask them to stop calling and they will.  They are not the normal Payday "Hound" like most others out there.  Legit Co that does well.

Let's not forget that in many US States Payday loans are illegal. Asking for an advance fee to get a loan is illegal in EVERY State of the US. If you obtain a payday loan, and that company is not in the US, you have little to no protection when it all hits the fan.

Called my office looking for an employee. No idea how they got our number or his name as he's an external associate. I hope this doesn't begin a series of repeated calls.

I agree with Gary - I used MaxLend a couple of months ago in a pinch and they were great to work with. I paid them off a few weeks ago and have received two calls since then - always polite, always customer oriented. Yes, they are a payday loan and they do charge crazy rates, but if you're in a pinch and really don't have any other option, this company is one of the better ones to work with.  And no, I do not work for them - I've just needed their service in the past.

They are MaxLend, a short term payday lender, a legitimate company.  Unfortunately, I've had to use their services in the past.  The only problem I have with them is that I can't get rid of them!  Ever since I paid off my last loan, they've called me at least 3 times a week on my home phone, my cell phone, and at work.  Every time, they say the same thing - you're on our VIP list, do you want to apply for another loan?  I always tell them, 'No, thank you. If I need you, I know where to find you. Please stop calling me.'  And they KEEP CALLING!!  They are really getting on my nerves!!
(Web site maintenance: Please include a call type of 'legitimate business' or something like that.  Thanks!)

This company gave my mother a loan of $200 and started withdrawing $150 out of her account every other week instead of every month then they took it on their own to boost up the price instead of the original amount to pay every month of 135.01 they took 150.00...it's a robbery !!!!!! no matter if you loan a person 200 and u been taking 300 a month for over 4 months why do u think its right to call and talk about a settlement of 175.00... They call from a Texas number now-1-512-362-6944'

If you believe this is fraudulent then it'd be a good idea to close out any existing accounts and get new account numbers.  Never pay any debt collector anything unles sthey have sent you a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.

How do you make them stop? I've asked them three times to stop calling and the person they are calling for is no longer at this place of employement. Blocking is not an option.  This is annoying
