This number only leaves a message asking me to return call with a phone number. If it’s legit business, why are they not identifying what company they’re with?

Original creditor called Americredit that is contacting you over an alleged past due payment that you owe them.  Know how I know that?  I took the time to read the other posts.  By the way it is an "impasse" not a ".inpass".

Called today, we are not late on payments. Why are they allowed to harass people, who pay their bills? Should Be illegal...

I'm confused.  2 years ago this was a third party debt collector.  Now the last two posts indicate an original creditor.  Why has this changed?  Are you sure of who is calling you?  If you do not owe anything then you can send a certified, return receipt letter to them.  However there is something off in both your post and the one right before your post.

Same company with 2 names.  They are both original creditors for GM products, one handles GM Dealerships/parts and the other handles non-GM Dealerships (used auto dealers/after market parts).

My employer got a call today from this number, asking for me. When told I was not available and asked what the call was about, they were told it was a personal matter, and requested that I call and ask for a specific individual.

We have a vehicle, purchased at a GM dealership, and payments are up to date. My wife advises that we recently received something in the mail about possibly wanting to lower our payment. She didn't feel like dealing with it, and tossed it.

Calling my employer is unacceptable. (Per the rules above, I will not share the language I advised my employer to use if they should call again.)

All your employer needs to do is to tell them that you are not allowed to get personal phone calls at work and to not call again.

Hi sorry this is super late for a reply but did they end up calling again? I just recently had the same issue as we speak and have been rattled about the whole situation and have received many voicemails from them asking if I want to lower the payment. Did they finally stop calling?

Why do you think that someone who you already know posted here last year will return after almost a year and answer you?
