I got a call today but did not answer.

Yup, got a call, didn't answer, they left no message

Got a call from this number but they left no message.  So until they leave a message clarifying the call  I'm assuming it's a spam service sales number, like everyone else is getting.

I just read the NPR link left above by the NY commentor.  Thank you NY. It was a very educating article by the NPR. (the National Public Radio)

I am in San Antonio, Tx. Got a call from 8782010297 today after 6 pm. Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the phone number. Won't be calling them back either, thanks to everyone's input on this site!

I received this message/voicemail through Google Hangouts:

"Were eligible to receive a free wireless home security system there is no cost for equipment or installation and the system is monitored 24 hours a day by your local police fire and medical you must be a home owner to take advantage in this special offer if you were interested in having the system installed at no cost to you then please press one now once again press 1 now. Otherwise, Please press 2 to be removed from our calling list."

I am glad that I missed that call after reading these comments. Is there anything in American Life that is not trying to take your money?

I was left a voicemail message telling me to press two to be removed from their call list.  Just a bunch of scammers who don't have their stories straight.

Received a call, did not answer. No voicemail was left. Thanks so much to everyone who contributes here! I wonder why our government can't just fix this growing problem of unlawful solicitation using automatic calling systems. Someone has to be accountable. Thankfully we have 800notes.com who helps us patch holes in the government's shortcomings.

Another caller wrote: "Answered the call a few moments ago. It was a recording that started off with "This is not a sales call. You have been referred to us by a friend or relative to receive a new wireless security system." - This is exactly what I experienced

Wow after looking at all the comments, they have been busy. Just received a call on my cell and they left no msg. A week ago received a call on home phone from them as well.ID read security services.

Same criminal calls as reported here "not a sales call" AND you can bet that it isn't. These criminals just want you to provide your personal information to aid in the prosecution of their mendacious schemes.

No idea how they got my number.. Didn't answer.
