If you call the # back and press 1 it removes you from their system

got a call just now, they said "warning" and hung up.  called back and it was an animated voice telling me I could remove my number from their system.  in a way it probably alerted to their system I wasn't a bot and will probably get harassed more.  won't be answering in the future.

When you call back it goes to an automated do not call request system that removes your phone number from the caller's list.  It's easy and effective.

Too bad all you did was confirm you have a valid number with a human response on the other end by doing that. Say hello to a zillion more calls in weeks to come.

It will do no such thing. All you've done is foolishly confirmed they have a working number. Congrats.

What you actually mean is you added yourself to the 'Do Call list'. All that does is means your number is open for business. These people are out to cheat and steal and "do not call" is nonexistent in their language.

I did the do not call thing about 5 months ago from this number and what ya know it works don't listen to the foolish people that haven't tried it

This particular outfit may not call you again, but your number is passed along by them. An answer is enough to start a chain reaction of junk calls.

Just received a call but did not answer because its an unknown number.

Called a couple of times but no answer, left no message.

If it came in on your cell phone create a contact and then block the calls from that number.

Got a txt msg on May 3, 2015.
Telling me that I have a MasterCard, (with a bank I do not deal with), acct that's been deactivated due to irregular activity. Then went on to tell me to re-activate and sent a hyperlink (that I never opened). The message was littered with spelling errors all thru it, definitely do not trust it.

Fast forward to today. May 29 2016.
Again another txt, and this one is quite comical. It reads, (again tons of typos).
"Yoou're the hottest thing siine sunburns."
That's exactly how it was spelt.

My gut instinct is that it's a bot program, or just a totally illiterate red-neck... but then I think it couldn't be a red-neck, they wouldn't know how to use a computer. Lol. Also almost all Americans wouldn't have a clue what MasterCard is, as it is a credit card available only to Canadians.

Got a voicemail from this number and asked for my name. Didn't bother calling back because they didn't state their purpose for calling and due to the fact that the message kept going on with people in the background. It sounded like a call center

They called and tell me it the FBI was investigate me and I have to contact them asap.

I answered my phone and a self proclaimed robotic IRS agent said the IRS filed suit against me and i needed to call another number and pay them so i would not go to jail.... so I immediately called the other number and paid my debt to society and cleared my good name once again!!!

This number called and said that they were a lawyer representing the IRS because of a pending lawsuit and that I had an arrest warrant out under my name. LMAO, the IRS only communicates by paper.

This number was a recording starting the IRS had filled a law suit against me and issued a warrant for my arrest. WTF
