I got 5 calls in one day. I answered the phone three times, said 'hello hello hello' but whomever was on the other end didn't say anything. The other two times, i let the ans machine pick up after the 4th ring, but then whomever it was hung up and all i could hear was a dial tone. When i called the number, i also got the 'call cannot be completed as dialed' msg.  Subsequently, i've gotten calls at least once a day every third day. I called my phone provider and was told it was a number for used car trade info. When i searched, i got this page. I'll try telling whomever is listening next time that i'm on the 'do not call' list. Maybe then the calls will stop.  We shall see.

Then why call. I received this call 6 times today so far today. PRICKS!

Agreed. There is none so blind as he who will not see, none so wrong as he who is convinced he's right. If any of us knew what's really going on in Washington, we'd mutiny and run all those bums out! We talk about the government eroding our freedoms but in truth, we're doing it to ourselves with our own laziness. The more we expect the government to fix everything, the more dependent we become on it and the more enslaved to it. Isn't it about time we stood on our own two feet and dealt with the issues we're capable of dealing with instead of creating more government dependency?

Daily calls from 888-123-4567, when I answer there is no one there.  "They" keep calling at my son's bed time (8:30-9pm) and are really starting to piss me off.  The first few time I didn't answer, now I look forward to their calls with the hopes there is someone on the other line I can rip into - but to no avail...

When will you people grow up (please) and stop the party bashing? It actually serves no purpose other than than to feed the inexhaustible mouths AND campaign funds of your local, state and national elected officials. I find that those who succumb to such tactics are the unwitting doppelganger(s) that BOTH parties know (and love)... Buy a real clue, seek knowledge... then get a better and true UNDERSTANDING of what we're really facing in our country.

We get these calls all day long, we are on the DNC Registry what a joke that is. The calls on the Caller ID say 800 Service and these are the numbers that show up.

These calls are annoying me, sometimes I pick up the call and then hang it back up. Or if they ask for us I tell them they have the wrong number. I even have gotten so mad that I answer the call and have taken a whistle and blown it as hard as a can. Hoping that would stop these calls. Don't they have anything better to do than harrass people.

Got a call from the 1-888-123-4567 #..........Had one from 765-4321 before, too.   UNKNOWN NAME is on our I.D.  Don't answer it, of course.  Getting sick of these calls, as we are on the Do Not Call List.  When I tried calling it back to find out who it was, recording said call could not be completed as dialed. So sick of this crap!

I reported this number to the national Do Not Call registry.  Easy to do.  Maybe if enough people report this annoying number it will get disabled.

Just got another call from 1-888-123-4567.  This time I got a live person, claiming to be from Wells Fargo and offering me a $25 gas card.  Then all of a sudden the call disconnected.  I called Wells Fargo Fraud.  They are aware that WF and other financial institutions are being identified with this number.  Their only advice is to NOT give out ANY information and just ignore the call.  I'm snding yet another email to www.donotcall.gov.   These calls are just too d* annoying!  I'm going to identify WF as the Caller Company, though.  With enough bad press, they may want to use their lobbying power to get this number disconnected.

I keep getting calls from 888-123-4567 averaging about 3/day. I wish I were home to answer these [***], but I'm at work all day...It's ANNOYING!!

I just got a call from this number yesterday. ID says Call Center. I had just called Bank Of America to get customer service and this call came about 1/2 hour later.  Just a coincidence?  I am with Wells Fargo also but this was the first time this number called. Now that I see it here, I will have my Caller ID Manager send this number to ring ring with no answer land.  I might as well block the whole area code.
I think our banks are selling our numbers trying to see us more services like insurance,etc. I don't know. I didn't answer the call and it did not leave any message on the answering machine. From reading here I guess they are just STARTing to call me. Well, I won't hear their ring anymore.

I just had the same thing happen. Said he was from Wells Fargo and wanted to send me a $25 gas card and an offer for some medical program. Said he needed my birth date, at which point I told him I wasn't interested. Obviously a scam given the posts and that Wells Fargo sends me plenty of unsolicited mail without ever calling or needing information.

If we choose to make our personal information including our address and phone number(s) our personal property with personal property rights then we could sell our rights to whomever we choose for any amount we could get.

But alas only a third party can collect our personal information then sell same to another third party. And some still believe we have a 'free' market.

I too have been getting these annoying calls, as well as others that don't leave a message, and when I DO answer the phone, don't say anything, just hang up!  I tried calling back, but it's either busy, or cannot be completed.  I wish there WAS something we all can do.  (:-(

I don't know what you're talking about--"party bashing"?  We're talking about stupid "telemarketers" who call up many times a day/week and don't leave messages, or say anything if you DO answer the phone.  There was NO mention of voting, etc.

They cal lat least twice a day. When we answer, there is nobody on the phoneQ.
When we try to call them back to ask them to leave us alone, there is a message saying that this phone number does not exist.

I have an auto account with Wells Fargo and have received this number several times in the last two days. We all need to contact WF and complain.

This is a funny message board. The subject is about a number that people are being called from and it ends up in a verbal online argument between Dems and Reps. This is why America is laughed at. I'm a born-American, so don't chew out about not being American. This is also why America is a great place to live. All Americans are not of like mind. We can all live in the same neighborhood for all our lives and everyone in the neighborhood is completely different. These messages are just too funny!

received a call twice today by 888 123-4567 and im on the dnc list. this is a machine calling.
