Regardless of what some people want to believe, this number really is from Discover. My dad recently became late on paying his Discover card. After a few weeks of him dodging their calls, they moved on to calling my sisters and I.

yes this is discover i have no idea why they are harassing me because my name is linked to someone elses they will not leave you alone until you pick up and tell them to STOP

I have no idea why this nuMber would be calling me 5 or 6 times a day if it really is Discover.  i dont have their card-haven't ever had their card.

This is Discover Card calling. I am behind on a payment and cannot pay until Friday. They call way too many times a day though. Sucks being in debt

I can attest this is legit Discover collections departmnet. I have their card and am behind a payment. If you don't have their card you should check with credit agencies to make sure no one has opened a card in your name. Also, could just be a customer who falsely put in your phone number instead of their phone number.

I don't have discover card so why did I get called? Has to be a scammer.

Quit calling numerous times a day.  We don't answer numbers.  If you really had something to say you would leave a message.

3 calls so far. No nessages. I checked wih Discover.com, this is not their number and they have not tried to call me. So, a scam. As many have pointed out, NEVER give out any personal information to someone who calls you. Not even your dog's name.

I have had a Discover card from the start, when Sears first created it (nearly 40 years ago) and have had no problems. They told me they had not called me and they didn't own or use this number.

It is definitely Discover Card. I just called Customer Service to cancel my card (after 25 yrs) because I have gotten calls at my home from this 888 number looking for my adult son who doesn't live here any longer.  He is late on his payment. I told them to stop calling my home and next thing I know they started calling my cell phone which has never ever been associated with my son.  When I asked why they were calling my cell phone even though I have never owed them money, they said they were looking for a relative of mine.  They would not tell me how they got my cell number which is not on my account. So I felt if that was the way they treated good customers of long standing, I no longer wanted anything to do with them and closed my account. Customer Service couldn't believe that it was Discover Card calling, but called the 888 number themselves and confirmed it.

looking for someone I never heard of

i got a call from 1-888-200-0810 on our home phone and let it go to the answering machine cause at our house we dont answer the phone unless we know who it is or once someone leaves a message stating thier business with us , I called the number back from my cell the guy who answered the phone at 1-888-200-0810 said he needed my credit card number and asked directly for it right away , saying I called him and he didnt know who i was , he failed to ask me any ital important things like my last four didgets of my social security number or address or mothers madien name or zip code , maybe the last four numbers on my card , he wanted the entire number so i proceeded to contact Discover Credit CARD services by calling the number in the back of the credit card ...1-800-347-2683 or 1-800-DIS-COVE where i explained what happened and she asked me the questions of what my card number was BUT I CALLED the number on the back of my card so i know who i was talking to NOW , not a random person from a 1-888 number calling me , i told her the DIscover credit card service person what had happened and reported the number , i suggest if you have issues with the 1-888 number you do the same maybe they can put a stop to this scammer and put them in jail for what they are doing ! DO NOT TRUST ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU AND SAYS THEY ARE FROM A CREDIT CARD SERVICE AND WNATS YOUR NUMBER ....CREDIT CARD SERVICES WILL NEVER DO THAT EVER ! HANG UP !

This phone number has called my cell phone several times over the past two days.  I finally called it back because I was tired of the calls.  The lady answered the phone immediately like it was Discover Card.  She asked for my name.  Then she asked if I had a Discover Card.  Then she proceeded to ask about my personal information.  I cut her off and told her that I would not be providing this information over the phone to a number I did not trust.  She got very hostile with me and said that I called them, she answered the phone as Discover Card, and that I knew exactly what the phone call was about.  I told her Discover Card had absolutely no reason to be calling me, and I told her I would call Discover Card from a verifiable source when I got home.  She said she'd make a note in my account that I was being uncooperative and that I would call back later.  Obviously, when I called Discover Card, they had not been calling me (my account is in good standing), there were no notes on my account, and this is clearly a scam operation.  If you provided information to this caller, call the REAL Discover Card immediately about  your account.  I since have blocked the phone number from reaching my cell phone.

I can't begin to tell you how many times this number has called my WORK number.  Just from the history i can recover, they have called 30 times from 9/9 to 9/19.  i never answer, so i can not confirm who is calling.
