That is discover card I called the number on back of card an ask an they said its one of there numbers

Lots of posts saying this is a discover card collections # others say scammers . Last time I was called to verify purchases they were told not to call the number these calls are coming through and the company now  has a different number to contact me directly, which has never been called. So I would guess this is a scam number.

NOT any number I have found listed or on the back of any card!
Suggestion DO NOT give information to those who call you hang up and call the actual number on the back of your card and inquire.

I don't even own a discover card and I get calls from this number so whats up with that

I called 888.200.0810 and spoke with a lady, she said she was in Ohio.  I gave her my real number and a false name.  She said that it was under a different name which happened to be my real name.  I told her I coudlnt give my acct or social security # and to transfer me to the main discover line.  She did and the lady that picked up was from Discover.  I asked if she had recieved the transfered call from a legitimate Discover agent.  She said she had.  I think its a legit number and that Discover has hired work from home call center employees and thats why its seems sketchy.  This is is not say it is definitely legit but "I am convinced".

Have been recieving calls from this number starting yesterday is it any cause for concern. I can spam the number but if it is truley a debt collector i want to know!?
