Calls on SUNDAY 17 July, 2011 at 5:17 CDR, 6:03 CDT, & 6:51 CDT.  No message left.  Called # back and recording said "One Main Financial".  Funny 'cuz I've been paying my 29% installment loan to Citi faithfully for three years. Guess Citi didn't get enough money from their Federal bail-out.

My husband and I have been with Citi Financial for over 6 years now and were never late until here recently after I gave birth to my son and the company I was working for wouldn't hire me back. They are constantly calling all the time and from different numbers also. I told them the other day that we had to file bankruptcy on them and they called my lawyer and called me back and said I was not fully covered and I still needed to make a payment. I told them that my husband was the only one working and we could not afford to make a payment. If you are 1 day late they are calling you!!! Yet here it is 6 years later and we still owe them as much as we borrowed six years ago. They will call up to 6 or  7 times a day! I will NEVER Recommend them to anyone! IF you want a loan with good people go to Pioneer Credit! They do not harass you no matter how late you are!!!!

My husband took out a secured loan with CitiFinancial in 9-2008, he put up his old beat up truck and a television for collateral. The dumb A** girl KNEW better than to loan as much as he was qualified for. The trucks value at that time was only about $800.00... Go figure. Anyway, he took out insurance in case he was laid off... guess what he did get laid off in 4-2009. He was told that IF, he was to ever have to use the insurance it would pay the loan off. They LIED, here it is 9-2011, he has yet to find a full time job, been working for temp agencies. The insurance paid for 18 months of him being laid off and on top of that WE had to pay the taxes on what the ins.company paid. We are constantly harrassed night and day! Even on Sundays, I told them to come and get the truck it has a blown motor now anyway. But again the DUMB A**, that had him sign all the paper work forgot to get the title transfer paper signed. So, they CAN'T even put a lein on it.....LOL LOL> I have told them OVER and OVER we DON'T have any $. Do what you have to do. I would like to however know what legal options they have???

Talk to a consumer attorney in your area; many will do a free consultation.  Just so you know, you have several options, and utilizing them may even make you some dinero.  First, tell them and write them (demand an address to send your "payments") not to contact you.  Then, they can only contact you once more to let you know they are going to sue.  If they continue to call,e ven if you owe the money, you can sue THEM for harassment, and violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  Just keep your documentation and good luck.

    Thanks Rob,
I appreciate the info. I have NEVER been in such a situation as this. After spending hours on the computer trying to figure out what exactly they could legally do, I am still not sure of my options. I see that they can take us, well him (My husband) to court over this. However what exactly will or could happen if he is sued? My husband will NOT talk to them when they call he is a chicken s**t. So, they deal with me. I told one girl that kept calling from the office, he got the loan from, that as far as I am concerned he does'nt owe anything more. She got really upset, thats when SHE found out there was no lein on the truck. I told her. I am NOT stupid by any means, I do my homework. Anyway, I told her that IF she could use a calculator, she could calculate the payments made, she would see that the loan amount has been paid and $770.00 of the interest. So, they are not out 1 cent. She just laughed. I mean we have hocked everything we have of value, borrowed from everyone, just to keep making the payments as long as we did. The last pmt. we made was in April or May. Seems to me they would have already done something legal if they were going to. I just think they like harrassing us better...

These people will call you if you owe them 2 cents. It's annoying. They called me last night several times in a row. I go online to pay and pay the amount it says but it's never the right amount so they keep calling. Well, put the correct amount I owe on my account. My mortgage payment is more important then the money I owe you right now.

This number keeps calling me as well. I can only assume it is for my sister, though why she would give out MY phone number is beyond me. She is the only one close to me who has had dealings with this company. However, I cannot get a hold of any human being to get them to STOP calling me. :/ I'm getting extremely frustrated by this!

Received numerous calls from "One Main Finaicial" - when did this change from Citi?  When I attempted to ask this question of "Dennis" - a very rude person who never let me finish a sentence - I was told that "we sent you all the paperwork - you deadbeat."  Talk about pissed off!  I'd rather file bankruptcy than repay a loan to such arrogant a**holes.  I told him he would never talk to his mother like that and I also told him I realized he was a deadbeat himself working in a deadend job for deadend pay.  He hung up on me (no suprise).  Screw them.  I have never failed to repay any loan, but with the stinkin' economy the way it is and people out of work, it gives arrogant jerks like Dennis the opportunity to be powerhungry jerk smarta**es.  Never again will I EVER take a loan out.  Needed it for medical bills that my insurance didn't cover.  Have always had good credit.  Again, would rather file Chapter 11 than deal with any more Dennis-jerks.

I purchased their diasability policy on my loan.  I became permanantly disabled last year.  I submitted all their claim forms with doctors statements.  They said that was good for three payments only and I would have to re-submit all the documents every third month.  They said they do not acknowledge a "permenent disability.  So they call 10 times a day to collect payments on a loan that "their" insurance should be paying.  Has anyone had this problem?  I really can't afford to hire an attorney to make them cooperate.

Citifinancial oh I am sorry One Main Financial irritates me cause it says it's due by the 5th, but if paid after the 16th it's an extra $10 bucks added on.  How about call me if I haven't paid anything after the 16th.  They have called me 6 times this morning already.
