- Screw One Main Financial| 1 replyI made the mistake of taking a loan with these scum bags. Dave Ramsey would call it one of your stupid moments. My intrest rate is 24% and they front load all the intrest payments. It used to be citi finicial and I guess the name got so soured they had to change. I get about 3 to 5 calls a day from them now even though I am current with my loan payments. They make it impossible to pay online, They dont accept payments at their headquaters and the local branches treat you like your less then a rabid dog. I was setup on autodraft from my checking. I realized the money would not be there for the transaction to go through. So I contacted their office asking them to delay it by just a few days for my payroll to clear. They refused and hit my account 3 times costing me a total of 3 NSF fees from my bank. After that I forced one main financial to loose my checking account number with lots of effort. I explained to them I will pay them from my online banking because I do not trust these vultures to ever touch my account. They insisted it was impossible and I had to send them a personal check to my local location. I submitted my online banking check and it cleared and I will keep doing that untill the loan is paid. But then again if they keep treating me like a dog I may just declare bankruptcy and say [***] em. Ive had other small loans with small banks and loan houses and never had any problems. One Main Financial is nothing but problems. Cash is king no more loans and no worries about my credit score or being deemed worthy by banks. Working towards that zero credit score again and no debt.

- RetiredGuru replies to Screw One Main FinancialI've had it with One Main Financial also. I had some hardships almost a year ago which put me behind on my mortgage payments and other bills, I never hear from my house lender but I sure hear from One Main! I scheduled a payment online 2 weeks ago and I've gotten at least 1 call a day since. The last one said even though I made a payment online I should still bring them a payment to thier local office. My reply... yeah right! I guess another one is going to hit the call blocker!

- Jamie Ryan| 1 replyAh, still harassing their customers, I see. I had a loan with them from 2008-2010, back when they were still Citi Financial. New name, same old worn out scare tactics. I had quite a fun ride with them for two years. I was making my monthly payments, they were a tad late, however. A day, maybe two. But, I was paying, every month. I was over extended financially and was working a second job. Everything I made at that second job was going to them. By the way, I could have gotten terminated from my primary job, seeing as how I was working a second job behind my main employer's back. The good people of Citi Financial were tacking on late fees like you wouldn't believe. I walked into the local branch and attempted to work it out with them. I asked if the late fees could be moved to the end of the loan, thus giving me one extra payment at the end. They said no. They informed me that the late fees were due now, or I would be suspended as a customer, meaning no further payments would be accepted from me until I paid the late fees. I mean, WTF?? So, they would cease taking ANY money from me whatsoever until I paid these stupid late fees, thus forcing the loan into default? How stupid can a company be?? It was NOT unreasonable to ask that the fees be attached to the end of the loan. I then told them that if they did in fact suspend me as a customer, then they had just gotten the last penny out of me they would ever get. They all laughed. I walked right out the front door and my very next stop was about 3 miles down the highway where I met with a bankruptcy lawyer. I hired him on the spot, paying him the money that Citi Financial was going to get, but of course, refused to take. I called and quit my second job, and then went home and enrolled in the required debtor's education course all the while getting phone calls from Citi Financial reminding me that I was only hurting myself and to get these fees paid so they could "lift the suspension" on my account. After completing the debtor's education course, I took the paperwork to my lawyer, and he began the proceedings. Citi Financial was fuming. They received an electronic cease and desist notice from my state, informing them that I had filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and that any further collection activity would land them in legal trouble. It was funny as hell, because they were leaving me a voice mail just as they were receiving the e-notice from my state! I heard someone in the background shout "oh, hell, hang up, Marty, HANG UP NOW, he has filed for Chapter 7, if you say anything else on that message, you get us in deep sh*t". So, in the end, Citi Financial elected to receive NOTHING from me. All because they could not give me just a little cooperation!

- Jennifer replies to LeilaIf you put in writing that they cannot call and harass you, or you only want them to call between certain hours, they legally cannot do it anymore. I would suggest just typing out a letter to them. Make sure to tell them that they cannot contact you at your place of employment. Oh, also include that they cannot contact your references. They will harass them too! If they continue to make calls, after you give them the letter, each person who places a call, will be fined up to $1000.

- LindaOne Main Financial calls my number out five times a day, trying to collect on a debt owed by a relative. They have been asked to remove my number twice and haven't done it. It doesn't seem to matter that I do not or never had a debt with them. They have the right number to call but is seems they would rather keep calling the wrong number. Can you imagine that kind of ignorance.

- LuvkatzI have never used this company. I had my number changed not long ago and that's when they started calling constantly and texting. I have saved their numerous phone numbers to my contacts and given the number a silent ringtone. They call but you don't hear it.

- NotRuthI am getting at least 6 calls a day from One Main Financial, calling from various numbers. One trick they use is that the caller ID shows a number for my area code, but the 888 number shows up on my call history. When I answer, they ask for Ruth, whoever that may be; it is not me. The last guy who called kept calling me "Not Ruth" like I was lying. I am not Ruth, nor do I know anyone by that name!
I repeatedly ask them to stop calling me, I have never had any dealings with this company, but if I complain on the phone, they hang up immediately.
They fill my voice mail box, they call at all hours (I work nights, and they wake me up).
I do not know how to stop this harassment. I have put in complaints to the "do not call" website.
I also don't know how to block the number since they use so many different numbers.
I am thinking of getting a new phone number, because this is getting truly ridiculous.- Caller: One main Financial
- Mel replies to mommyof3Yes, that is the rule. But this company doesn't follow that rule. They will also start calling your references if you don't call back before a few calls.
