- JZSame here. They called my cell and left a message that my debit was put on hold due to a fraudulent activity. I couldn't hear the bank name that they said at first and I thought it was my real bank calling me. I happen to purchase an airline ticket today and was afraid that it wouldn't go through, so this almost sounds legitimate to me that the bank was trying to get in touch with me. I had my husband help me listen to the message many times, and finally found out that they referred themselves as M&T bank, which I don't have an account with them. I first called the number back and got through the first time but had to hang up right away because my kids were so loud at that time. When I called back again, the number doesn't work anymore. So, we conclude that it's a scam. First the message wasn't clear, then the number didn't work. Sounds very fishy, but they almost got me! It's just so coincident that they called me the day that I just used a large amount of money to buy an airline ticket. Wonders how they got my cell number.

M&T reporting fraud on my credit card. I do not have an M&T card. When I call back there is no option to talk with anyone they want you to enter your M&T credit card #. - Marcy MI got this call about my debit card, so called my bank, Chemung Canal Trust, Bath NY and she said it is a scam. Always contact your bank. Do not give any info to a call. If they mentioned a business, I did not catch it. It sounded like a recording.

- AngeloVoicemail message last evening stated there was suspected fraudulent activity with my M&T bank account. That was news to me! I don't have an account with M&T. Also, when I called back, a recording asked me to enter my 16 digit debit card number. I entered "0" trying to reach a "M&T" representative and it would simply keep restating that I needed to enter my 16 digit debit card number. I called back 4 times...the first 3 attempts were exactly as stated above. On the 4th attempt the recording said I reached a phone number that was no longer active. Scammers.
- kGot message on computer saying it was being attacked from 2 sources. Could not get out of message. Said they were microsoft security and wanted access to my computer. When i said no they hung up
