I received a call from this number and the person left their name as Jocelyn "from SunTrust Mortgage".

I returned the call and only provided the phone number which I received the call on and was told (by another "representative") that they were calling to see if I was interested in refinancing.  I said no and the call ended.

I then called SunTrust (my mortgage servicer) and they did NOT show the number as one of theirs.  I was told next time ask for the person's name and NMLS number as these can be searched for on the internet and you can find who you are actually dealing with.

I got the same call at home.  The next day they were calling me at work!

Just received a call from this number and "Octavia", from Suntrust Mortgage, left a VM saying they needed to get hold of me, by name.  Scary thing is, she pronounced it correctly whereas most people don't.  I came here to search as the call was coming through, because I was on another call at the time.

I received a voicemail at my work number from someone saying they are "Karen from Suntrust Mortgage." She sounded like English was her first language but she could not pronounce my name. I called the number back and  got "Your call is being forwarded to a Suretel voicemail system...Suntrust Mortgage is not available. Please leave a message at the tone."

WHAT THE HECK. What bank has an automated voicemail system for the main number and not a specific person. This is obviously a scam. I hope no one gives these people money or personal information.

Had several calls from this # no message until today. Like JJ message said 'Octavia from Suntrust Mortgage'.....I don't buy it! Thanks for all the input I have blocked the number, hope that takes care of it.

3 calls in two days . Same as above MO's . Gave a name and requests a callback to Suntrust . However 2 of the calls left no message ??? Possible scam !! CID says TOLL FREE CALLER not Suntrust .

Make that 4 calls . Again CID said TOLL FREE CALLER and left no message . Called Suntrust and they said it is not one of theirs.

The person calling DOES not say they are from SunTrust Mortgage, they say they are calling "on behalf of SunTrust Mortgage".  Big difference.  Just block them and they'll go away.

I expressed interest in mortgage loan info on the Suntrust website and requested to be contacted via e-mail.  Within 2 minutes of submitting the request online, my phone rang.  The person identified herself as being with Suntrust Mortgage and left a voicemail for me to return the call.  So, the phone number seems legitimate to me.

This is a legit Sun Trust Mortgage number. If you filled out the online form to request information, or to set up a meeting with a loan officer, you may get a call from this number. I had requested email contact but got a call about 20 seconds after I hit the submit button. Since the "Call Type" doesn't include the proper choice, I'll write it in here. Call Type: Loan Company

After reading some previous comments: While we are SunTrust customers, we have never requested any info on refinancing or setting up a meeting with a loan officer. Yet they keep calling my work number which is incredibly annoying. My employer uses a crap phone system that was sold to us for a fortune. It took me most of the morning to configure a way to re-route their calls (we are UNABLE to reject calls, smh). I'll see tomorrow if it worked since I know they'll probably call again this evening after I'm gone.

Same thing and I reported to SunTrust.  They asked ME to verify my info and knew scam.  Suntrust said it was definitely bogus and Mortgage department does not solicit via the telephone, and the numbers I shared were not theirs.  I called the number back and told them I reported it to SunTrust and they were busted - the girl "Maureen" said was rude and hung up.

We are SunTrust customers and have been receiving messages recently (two or three a day, to both home and work numbers) to call the person back at this phone number.  I actually took the call once by mistake, and it was an offer to refinance.  They did not say whether the offer was with SunTrust, but I suspect it was for another company, or a scam.  I declined to give them any information, though they were real eager to have me talk with one of their "loan officers" right away and give them my financial info to see if we qualified.  I'm sure.

The caller ID said the call was coming from "LEADQUAL LLC," a "cross channel sales acceleration" company.  It is not a SunTrust number.

Same thing, requested me to call them back.  It sounded fishy, so instead of calling, I did a search.  Thanks for posting!

Got this call twice this week, claiming they are calling from Sun Trust Mortgage company. The number that registers is different from the number they want too to call back, and that number registers wirth suretell....spam.

Same has the rest, left message to call Barbara at Suntrust Mortgage. Called them back with a little concern my Mortgage company is trying to contact me.  Lady answered said Barbara is her co-worker and wanted to know if I needed any help with me Mortgage.  Feel foolded and wished I never called number.
