They Lie so much. They are such Joke ... - Tina replies to PollyWhat about if they already have all your information before they call you....I've been married for 39 years and they found my father's Cell phone number, called him and told him to have me call them as I was being served. What I found was they are suing me for a debt on an account that I never had (verified by the bank).
So even if I cancel my current accounts, they already have my ss number and obviously quite a history on me (kind of scary).
Best I guess I can do is flag all my accounts and watch for problems? - JamesOk so I hear all these complaints and I too question the legality behind PCMW.. I got a call from my Dad saying a guy named "Mark Thompson" told them there was a complaint against me. My dad gave me the 888 number and I reached a guy named Steve Smitts, he transferred me over to Mark but I lost service (my fault). I call back and talk to Steve, who says he was the operations manager. He was actually very polite and I didn't mind talking to him because I do owe to Us Bank from a charge off in 2009.. He explained everything to me about being removed from check systems and how they will work with when I am able to pay. He said I had to pay a courtesy payment for a third of the price and I told him I cant possibly do that now but can on the so and so date, he said yes I can honor that. I then asked him for papers claiming the legality of them owning my debt.. He, no questions asked, sent me proof via email attachment and also sent a hard copy via mail per my request, which I have yet to receive because it has only been a day.. I have had a very positive experience thus far but have been looking online and have become scared. I still have 2 weeks to cancel my debit card before the payment goes through and I plan on calling Us Bank directly to get to the bottom of it. In the email/settlement letter they listed my old Us Bank account number so I am getting mixed thoughts... Have no idea what to think..... "YES I JUST COPIED AND PASTED THIS FROM A POSTING I JUST POSTED. REASON FOR THAT IS BECAUSE I NEED SOMEONE TO LET ME KNOW IF THEY HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE" Thanks...

- Recently contacted replies to happily putting you out of business| 1 replysome dude called me and said he was an officer of the court that had been designated to serve a summons to me because I was being sued. So where would I like to be served, work or home. I was taken by surprise because he called my work phone. I asked by whom was I being sued and he said he didn't know but I had to call John Calhoun at 949-565-7610 to discuss the matter. He gave me a case # and told me to tell them where I would like the summons delivered. I called asked for John but was told he was on the phone. A lady said what is your case number and I can try to look it up. She stated that this was an attempt to collect a debt and information received would be used.....She asked me to verify my name and the last 4 digits of my ssn. I told her to tell me since they were trying to reach me. She told me I had a credit card and stopped paying on it in 2010 and since I have ignored their efforts of trying to resolve the matter they will garnish my wages $450 per month until they receive payment in full. I said really....the state of Texas does not allow garnishment of wages for credit card debts. I must admit I was shocked and concerned at what I was being told, but was more embarrased since I had taken the call in the presence of my coworkers and couldnt. Well, to make a long story short, she got rude, I responded and she told me to have a nice day being sued and I told her to have a nice day kissing my foot. I tried to google the phone number but got nothing. Please add 949-464-7610 to your list of annoying phone numbers.
- frustrated! replies to Recently contactedSo relieved reading this. I just dealt with the John Calhoun thing! They called my old work yesterday, saying that I had been due in court to give a deposition. They also threatened to come there to serve papers. The person who answered the phone told them I hand't worked there in months. I called the number back- feeling totally confused...a deposition for what? Then, the story is the same. A man got on the phone, asked for the last four of my social, told me I was being sued. Told me I'd been served with papers ( I haven't ). I verified that they had the correct address ( they did) Then he started insulting me. The more questions I asked, the meaner he got. He told me that they would garnish my wages 450 a month if I didnt give him my banking info and a payment on the phone. I told him that I didn't have 2000 to pay him on the phone ( this is for an intial debt of 112$ !!!! ) and I certainly didn't have a spare 450 a month. He told me " listen honey, I only get paid if you go to court, so I dont care if you dont wanna pay your debt" I told him that I did want to pay it, and is there a way I can get in touch with the people I owe money to, or someone that I can speak to about a payment plan? He started yelling at me that if I didnt want to pay, I could have fun being sued, and having my wages garnished. I told him that I was asking him for the infomation that I needed to pay the debt, but that I didn't have that kind of money right now. And that if I had to pay 450 a month, my family and I literally couldnt pay our rent. He said " no one cares about your family. no one cares. " I said, well, I do- and he laughed and yelled " well we'll just sue you GOODBYE" and hung up. hours later, I still feel so upset. Reading your post made me feel better...a little anyway. The statute of limitations in PA is 4 years...the debt is from 2008/2009 . I'm not sure how to proceed! I'd pay it back, but it seems they dont want to let me, and I'm afraid to give my banking information to these people! We pay each and every one of our bills on time- even though it's a struggle. We are living in a 1 bedroom apartment just to try to make ends meet. I feel so down right now...but again, reading your post helped. Thanks for that! Sorry for the venting. Feeling a bit yucky after that call.
