I just got off the phone from a guy called James Howard. He sounded like an Indian guy. The scary part was he had my address and went on to tell me that I had a legal case against me back home. When I said I haven't been back home for years. He then asked why I didn't submit my Alien Registration form. When I told him it doesn't make sense. I submitted all my required documents he kept repeating the same thing. It freaked me out. I am so annoyed and upset. Its bad enough the struggles people go through during Canadian immigration  process. With these kinds of scam it makes it even more stressful. What can be done?

This number called me  saying that you have ellegation from canadian embasy .
You have prove your status here in Canada. We can fix your problem. I thought it is fake call to get some money and your
information.

Got a call from this number  888-242-2100 they were very rude. its a scam.
claiming to be from CIC but they were swearing.

I got a call from this number claiming they are calling from CIC and there is some case against me from the immigration and Canada. They wanted to get personal information, so I will be reporting it to RCMP.

I got a call from this number today as well pretending to be from the Canadian Immigration office inquiring about a non-completed Alian form that we needed to fill out (which we didn't). They seemed to be confused because at one point they asked whether we got a call from the Canadian embassy from Canada; not sure why there would be a Canadian embassy in Canada. Anyway, recorded the call and also reported them to the police. This number does belong to the Canadian Immigration office but it is a one-way number through which only we can call; they can't call from this number. Definitely a scam! Please beware.

Receiving the calls from this number in Brampton. I called CIC to verify and did not call. I think RCMP should take some action..

Call received from gentleman claiming to be from CIC the Canadian Immigration Services of Canada (- the number comes up as a toll free number) - he was almost impossible to understand so I was transferred to his supervisor.  She came on the line and was speaking clearly UNTIL I started asking questions then suddenly she was just as hard to understand as the man.  Told them I have nothing to do CIC or Canadian Immigration Services of Canada and hung up.  I gave them no information but they are scammers.

call received at 1:15 p.m. this date claiming to be from Citizenship and Immigration.  Told them I had received a call from them last week, reported it and hung up.  It is a scam of some sort as I have no contact with this organization nor do I have a need to be in contact with them.

Got a call form this number last Friday around 3.30 p.m. ... accent was like an East Indian guy... he said he was from  Immigration and Border Protection agency from Ottawa and threatned to send me back to my home country.... as i had not apprarently "Updated" my Imm1000 landing papers and was liable to a fine of not less than $80,000 should I fail to transfer $2100 via Moneygram.  He called me by my full name and even the country I immigrated from!!  He said his name was " Roy parker" and his other buddy as " Officer Neil Anderson".  He told me I was not allowed to duiscuss it with anyone eve nmy wife as this case was for me only!!... I then paused a while and when I went back to converse, He asked me whom I was talking to. I told him well nothing serious but the cops on the other line to track him and he shouldn't hang up on me. Bang!! He hanged up on me!!

Today I received a call, Caller ID CITIZENSHIP & I 1-888-242-2100, saying that the Canadian Embassy has a case against me. They used similar method to a spam call that I received a few days ago, the person on the phone told me that he would transfer my call to a senior officer, after I realized it was a spam call I just said to the senior officer when he asked me again to confirm my name I said "wrong number" and I hung up the phone; then they called me 3 times without caller ID number.

The other Spam I received a few days ago from caller ID TAXES 18002676999 in June 26 2015

Note: One characteristic with what you can identify a Spam call is if you hear other callers like it sounds as call center and more if they speak like Indians.

Received same phone call and have called and reported to CIC along with their number. CIC said they are doing research on this. She advised me to report this fraud to Canadian Fraud Center you can goole it.

Got call from 613 # but gave me 1-800-242-2100 telling me he was calling from Canadian Immigration and that  there was a fraudulant complaint against me.
Wanted my name and if I did not give it to them, there would be legal proceedings against me. I asked for his name he said Selina then he said Jim Walker. Guy for sure was indian....FAKE FAKE FAKE.....

Man called saying he is from Immigration Canada and that there is a complaint against my wife.  Very terrible accent; he had to repeat himself 5 or 6 times.

A guy called with an Indian accent and terrible quality told me his name is Max Wilson from immigration and there is a complaint ... I asked him his phone number to call him and he gave me 613-993-72-67 which belongs to RCMP

A guy called my wife from this number claiming to be calling from Ottawa. He told his name was John William and that there was a case against her regarding IM1000 form which she did not fill up. When she told her she was a citizen for so many years and this form was for permanent residents he still persisted saying she has to fill the updated form. He did not have her complete name and when asked why he didn't  have her complete name he just gave the first letter of the first name which again was wrong but matched with my name instead. Just a fraud...........CIC will always have full details I guess. BEWARE!!!! RCMP might be aware about it.

Got a call yesterday ,guy with a thick accent, used the name Jason Miller, claimed from the Canadian immigration phone # 888-242-2100, gave me the case # , there's a legal claim against me , from my home country. Couldn't answer where my home country is, said that it's very confidential and serious . Told him it's a scam, gov't never call, use the mail.
He said that I'll not receive anything in the mail, it's confidential and just want to ask questions , told him to go ahead. He asked how long I've been in Canada, I told him that I'm not going to answer any questions And stop scamming people, he raised his voice and said this is not a scam. Told him I know it is and hung up the phone.
Just be aware , thank God for call display , the call was from 1-613-912-4344. Googled this phone # , it's a major scamming, they have more than one phone #s

Passport information is being compromised at BLS centers. I am also receiving calls stating my data which I mentioned only on my application with BLS. They need to take strict actions and impose higher data security within their center across USA.

I received a call from this group today, from a man claiming his name is David King, and he gave me his batch ID number from CIC, IC92436. He claimed I didn't fill my immigration form IMM1000, he claimed it has to be done every five years, and since I didn't file it I'm now running afoul of the law, and have two options: Either go to court and if found guilty will pay 40 to $45000 CAD, or an out of court settlement for only $930, and have 90% of that refunded to me. He also said if I fail to comply the police will show up at my home in half an hour. He was very serious and convinced that he is doing me a favour. When I told him he's a scammer and a fraud, he became angry and raised his voice.
