Saying they were from the Indian embassy concerning immigration

The guy claiming some charges related to Canadian citizenship.
They seem to be fraud and need to be reported.

Files are being leaked at BLS International Centres as I received a call from Scammers with all the information they had from my Visa Application saying they are calling from CIC immigration to verify. Tried to fool me into paying $400.00 via Visa Pre Pay reload.  I already got my Visa approved last week and received my Passport as well from CGI Toronto, when I called CGI Toronto - they told me that CIC immigration has nothing to do with verfication since we already processed your Visa. Incident already emailed to CGI Toronto to alert them.

I also got all from the same no claiming that they are from UKBA and want to come to my house to verify.
They looked fake and spammers. Beware all.
I too have a feeling that info is leaking from UKBA.

We are getting calls from this number often and the guy was asking personal information. He is saying that he is calling from Canada Immigration. As we knows that this is a FAKE calls. If we don't give the information then he gives [***] and used bad words and cut down the phone.

Hi I received a call from 1-888-242-2100 on saturday stating that they are calling from CIC ...somebody filed a case under my name..asking for money. I was asking him about the reason of their call..he was not telling reason..totally fraud...do not give your personal information...i am going complaint to cic about the call.

Got call from this number, complaint against me

I am also getting the same call again & again but today when i picked up the call he straight away put it down. Infact i am sure that i will get another call at any time.

Same CIC stuff. Someone attempting with different accent, but can tell.

I received a phone call from the same number today. As a matter of fact, this was their fourth or fifth attempt as I had not been able to speak on the phone previously. I only saw missed calls and no voicemail. They claim to be working for CIC, a federal agency, which they say stands for Canadian Immigration Services of Canada. They also claim to be located in Ottawa, Ontario. They want you to pay a fee ($1786 to be exact) to resolve a complaint that has been lodged against you by the Canadian Embassy in some country. They say your home country, but when you ask which home country, they wouldn't answer. They want you to buy government bonds from a convenience store and "register" the bonds with them to pay the fee. They say that the bonds are small silver vouchers into which one needs to deposit money. They seem to know very well what to do with the vouchers. And after "registering" the bonds with them, you need to take the bonds to an international airport, where an officer will pick them up from you.
This whole thing is a scam. There is no officer at the international airport to pick up the bonds from you. Once the bonds have been "registered" with them, they cash out the money making the vouchers useless paper. The trip to the airport is another step to add salt to the wound of being ripped off. Be ware!

Someone named Adam  posing from CIC called today that there are flaw in my paper work on immigration and when I put him on hold for some time and asked him more question he hanged up but the call displayed # 011-888-242-2100

Got a call form this number ... sounded like an indian guy... he said he was from from CIC the Canadian Immigration Services of Canada and threatned to send me back to my home country.... He told me that I had not filled out the I-49 form when I immagrated (which I never imagrated) so, I searched it online and found it was only for USA... I didnt even live in USA.   He said his name was " Roy parker" and told me my case number and that I had to pay a large fee (998$)....  He told me I was not allowed to duiscuss it with anyone...  I asked him if this was a scam and he hanged up on me....

I just hanged a call from ph no. +290984727, before calling me they called my home and told my wife that they are calling from cic and there is an arrest warnt issued for her husband, they asked her when she came to canada and when i had came to canada, she gave them the info and my cell number too, i got a call (not knowing they got info from my wife) ... Guy sounded like an Asian, he said he is from CIC the Canadian Immigration Services of Canada and there is complain angist me from my homeland country embassy that i did not filled S I 94 Alian form, when I questioned him cic office location and number to call, he trasfared me to (as he said his senior), i asked his info, he said he is "Jean Parker", batch id 3682001, then He told me that I had not filled out I94 and this is their last call, and RCMP will arrest me with case no.  1853693. I asked him his location and reachable phone number and he hanged up on me....

Was a lady that first asked about if I wanted to buy toilet paper.  then I told her she was calling a company and she said this isnt ronald??  I said no ma'am you are calling a company.  She wanted me to stay on the phone with her since she was lonely- advised hanging up- 37 seconds on the phone-  hope she didnt get any information!!!

I received a call from a guy who introduced him as Chris Brown. He said " I am from Canadian Immigration office" and there is a complain against you. Then I asked again about his name who said I am Chris Brown. He said did you receive any call from police so far, to which I respond  No. There was some disturbing noises in the background which clearly an indication it was not from any office environment and I realized it is a scam. I asked again how do you spell your name, where is your office? He said this is the telephone number 888 242 2100 and you need to talk with my officer to discuss the nature of complain against you. I asked him the name of his officer. He said unfortunately I am not in the position to you his/her name nor to talk about the specifics and then hanged and left.

Received a call from #1-888-242-2100, this was the 5th time they were calling me, blasted the guy with some beautiful cuss words, he reacted by saying that "How dare you use this language with a Fed Agent", I cussed him some more and hung up.
If you call back this number, it goes to CIC call center, but these guys have most probably hacked into the system so the call originating number shows the real CIC number.
A SCAM!! STAY AWAY!!

they did not talk with my wife and told they want to talk to me directly. it looks like all information leaked when   i filled for my mothers visitor visa and agent send all information to VFS center

Received call from same number this morning, one guy asked if I am Sam after verifying my name he transferred to his senior office and he told me that there is legal case against me in my country, I asked the which country and he mention my country name. I have been away from my old country almost 40 years. Then he said something which I could not understand and I asked him to repeat and he said to me can't you understand English, then he said*********and hung up on me
