I am so tired of scammers calling me. They had the gall to call at 8:05 am. They left no message. I did not answer the phone,

No, it's not. Citibank will never call you and ask you for your SS and Credit Card numbers because they already have that information. They have other ways of identifying you. This is a scam.

This is a scam. They said someone attempted to use my card the thing is that somebody had used it at a location and I had canceled my account yesterday.

Had same number email me to call them. Stupid as I was I did call back. Asked me if I had any fraudulent charges. After about a minute they ended the conversation. A week later I couldn't use the citi phone app. Called and they said there was no problem but I couldn't use the app. Next day I couldn't get on theor website to check on things. After 13 days of them saying but doing NOTHING I called back. This time they said my name was different and my bank account was wrong. Then they hung up on me. 2 weeks and they did nothing. So after the last call that they hung up on me on I went straight to the nearest bank and withdrew all my money except the change. I'm still waiting for them to lift their first finger to help. Useless is what Citibank is. 35 years of having a account with them and they instantly treat me like I'm the criminal.

Well, "stupid as you was" you were never communicating with that bank.  Maybe if you had been smart you would have contacted the bank at a known, published phone number such as the one on the back of your card, your statement, or their official website, or in your case you would have taken the time to talk to someone in that bank branch.  So, your story now raises questions.  Either you are incredibly stupid or you are simply upset with that bank for some reason and decided to take the time to come here and write that fairy tale.  Which is it?

They called saying I had fraud charges on my card.  Already had my personal info.  They kept me on the line while they wired money out of my bank account.  It was a black woman who called.  God have mercy on her and others who steal for a living.  Vengeance is the Lord’s.

Why do you think that "Jennifer" who posted here in 2007 can do anything about that?  I suppose you could hope and pray that she stops back to help you after 14 years, or you could contact the bank at the phone number listed on the back of your card for help.  Which do you think might be the better solution?

Just received automessage re "suspicious charges from 888 -248-4426, inviting me to press 1 to dispute charges. Citibank confirmed that this was a scam. :)

Ask about information and introduce self from Citibank

DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER or any unknown number even though google says the number is valid. If someone ever calls you claiming to be a financial institution, they never ask for your SSN, BANK INFORMATION, PERSONAL INFO EXC. You are to only provide that information if you call the number in the back of your debit/bank card.
