No it ain’t!! Update the date, this scam still going on!! They tried to get me and now got to get new checking account.  It was blocked but slick as sht!  Called saying fraud happened in a Walmart online, sent 6 digit code, looking up my balance, knew a lot as if they where citi bank but weren’t!!  I called Citi bank myself to confirm cause checked account and seen no Walmart chargers.  As calling i hear $240 transfer fraud on the phone, no information I got from “Logan” who transferred money to Juanita Anita Benita some ita Williams.  Sigh… I got had n can’t figure how with 22 long passwords.  Guess using debit card need to cover or now put on my phone.  I’m rambling cause pissed!! Sorry.  If possible update the beginning date to inform others about this phone number.  Started 07 n still to 22.  You’d think citi bank would do something about this.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD....do not make the mistake of thinking this is Citibank.  Took me 2 days of fraudulent charges on my account to realize it wasn't a person from the fraud prevention department helping me.

They called me 8 times today trying to intimidate me. This happed after a text message asking to call 1(888) 889-0998. If you call this number 1(888) 889-0998 Citibank answers like the real bank, then literately a person trying to scam you and take your money out from the account

Scammers looking for ppl to say their personal details. I wish they would just give up and stop calling.

Number showed up as citi group, did not answer.

Calls and hangs up when my answering machine picks up.  Caller ID was “SPAM RISK”.

Received call saying from Citibank Fraud Dept. I knew they were lying and said, "oh yea, what do u want?" A male said "pu$%#y". I hung up and blocked #

This is a SCAM number - not Citibank. They claim to be Citibank, but they are not. I was at a Citibank branch when I received a  call and I put them on a speaker phone, the moment banker asked for their employee identification number, they hung up.

Not a phone call, but an email stating: "Your account was verified using an International phone number." they left 888-248-4226 if we don't "recognize this transaction, please call....".  We didn't.  We reported to Citibank Customer Service.

This caller rang phone several times. I was suspicious but finally answered it. It turns out the caller was a scammer spoofing a legitimate CitiBank phone number. Caller requested my account user name. I asked how do I know you are really CitiBank? caller replied that if I don't fully cooperate, the charges flowing in on my account will not be refunded. I hung up and called CitiBank. They confirmed there was no such activity on my account an that it was a scammer.

Says it's citi card.

It's a scam. When I told them that I'd rather go to a branch and speak to someone in person, they abruptly hung up.

SCAM- DO NOT TALK TO THEM.
pretending to be citibank fraud dept. Wanted me to verify expiration date of my credit card.
Very pushy when I didn't want to release information. Attempted to assure me they were legitimate by telling me my correct home address and first 4 digits of my card number.
Hung up and called citi - verified they did not attempt to call me and THIS IS A SCAM

Caller said they were from fraud department at Citi Bank and my card was compromised. Asked too many questions. Became suspicious... Hung up and called my card. Total scam!!!! Don't give out information over the phone unless you initiate the call!!!!
