Your's was the exact same letter and info I received... they also said something about monthly fees for additional tax auditing for $40.00

They also couldn't tell me my wife's name and she is on our mortgage... dodged a bullet

Just got this yesterday.  lt looks official.  Govt form number in bottom left.  Listing # on bottom right., but there is no company name.

I'll bet a lot of people could fall for this....

I call the number that was on the paper and 888-254-6227 and they said I could get a check $1400. or up to 7000.00 but I need to give them a check or credit card for 299.00 if I pay by check I will only have to pay200.00> I told him that I don't give my information over phone that I will mail him a check   HOW did they know my mortgage company. This f....king crazy that people can get your information

Yes but just think of all those poor S O B That they got already. They should make the penalty tougher for these J O's, like teaching them how to swim with sharks and put it on paid TV for us to be entertained.

Got letter no calls. If we had a government that worked they would catch and get rid of these bums. To busy going on vacations and spending our tax money.

i also just got this exact same letter alothough my house was purchased in my husbands and my name the letter only came in his name thanks for sharing this info thought this was a scam!!!

I also received this letter yesterday. I was highly suspicious due to the fact that the letter was vague. Thanks for confirming. All of you saved me a great headache!

I received a letter from the Mortgage Auditing Program.  I contacted the 888-251-6057 number provided and they wanted my bank information and $279.00, which they promised me would be refunded in about three weeks if they were unable to get me a refund from my mortgage company.  I notice other than the phone number, there was no way to contact them.  I did not go for this as I am a Fraud Investigator for a large bank and deal with these types of scams all day long.  I noticed in some of the previous postings, the Audit Company only asked for $200.00, while they wanted $279.00 from me. HMMM...why the price difference.  Throw these letters out and keep reporting this phone number.

Prices started from $149 and have increased in $50 increments to $299. Finding the optimum price for max $earnings? Need the increased revenue to pay the bills? These are discounted prices, am sure the listed price on their website is more than $299. I believe your $279 price is valid when you pay by check, otherwise it's $299 by credit card.

Just received this letter yesterday 7/30/2012 in Chicagoland, IL....  The phone # is different: 888-659-2078, but all other content the same as the letter posted.  I was suspicious since no address was given in the letterhead, so just decided to research out of curiosity.  Suspicions were correct - There are so many results stating this is a big SCAM!  The world today... tsk tsk tsk.
