IRS scam

Voice mail this very serious do not ignore other wise I would be in big problem with the federal government

When I answered, I heard a recorded message saying I needed to call a number because I was being investigated for fraud. Muy husband called them back and demanded too know what was going on and they said they were looking for Carlos (somebody). Can't the Feds shut this down? All the posts that I've seen regarding this happened last year and I just got the call.

Said they are from irs and i better call or go to federal court to see a magistate. Called twice in 2 hours, same recording

The matter at hand is extremely time sensitive and urgent as after audit we found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your tax which you are Heidi from the Federal Government. This needs to be rectified immediately so do return the call as soon as you receive the message. The number is 888-275-2208. Again 888-275-2208. Thank you. Called back & said lets do one thing let me put you to IRS & we would have a conference call & we can go from there, Got afraid & hang up my call, Idiots, Scammers. Guys be carefull

Got a call from 888-275-2208 telling me it was a second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury before a federal criminal offense.  They said that it was the final attempt to reach me and that I should call back and talk to a federal agent about this matter.  I figured it was a scam so I called back and asked what number it was and the individual said it was the fraud department and then when she realized I wasn't buying it she hung up on me.  I called back a second time and an Indian man answered and when I asked him the same question he said he could give me a F*@*.  I have since blocked these calls

They just called me.. i am scaried. I am not going to call back bc i know i didnt do anything wrong

I just got a phone call from them today. It scared the crap out of me. Not going to call them back.

My second second and and last chance to reply and avoid court in front of a federal magistrate or a grand jury. So tired of these kinds of calls.

Received virtually the same call claiming to be the IRS. I made the mistake of returning the call. During the call, the caller got me to say the word I now know to be the focus of this scam, "yes." She repeated an old address and I informed her it was not my current address. She asked me if it was a previous address and I said, "yes."

call back three times all three times someone in broken English answered then hung up on me.

The voicemail they left said to contact them to resolve a situation immediately, final attempt, to avoid an appearance in front of a grand jury as I was wanted for a federal criminal offense.  I called them back and they said they had a warrant out for Melissa (my daughter's name) for unpaid taxes.  They said she was going to be arrested in one hour if I didn't take care of it.  I called them back and said I was reporting them.

Received 2 calls in the last hour.  I already know I'm not going to jail.

They just called me from this # and least week they called  me from "312-610-1964 those # are fake the real IRS does not call

Same Calls on home and cell.  I called them back.  Advised I work for telcom company and wanted a manager; said will be reporting to FCC.  The "manager" offered to put me on a do not call list (weird for IRS)???  Total SCAM!!!

Also, I called with Caller ID Blocked and they hung up on me; once I allowed my number to display, my call went through to a live person.
