- stacey figgs| 6 repliesI'm tired of this country and company's like this where all they want is your money. My husband and I received a letter from this company almost 2 months ago stating that they were going to be sueing us and go after our our assets in reference to a old credit card bill. We responded to the letter and spoke to a jack weinstein i believe, who refused to work out any payments with us and finely we got frustrated and ended the call.Well sure enough after over a month went by, last Friday they showed up at my husbands place of business and served him papers and now they are trying to sue us for a ridiculous amount and go after our income.Has anyone dealt with this company before and knows the best way to approach this now if there's anything at all left to do instead of being sued!!??

- STASHA WALKER| 2 repliesI have received a call from this company threatening to sue me. I'm not even sure who or what this is in reference to. I am really tired of them calling me and if there is something that I can do, somebody let me know because I am not going to have them calling my job or interfering with my job and cause me to lose it!!! Can this be considered as harassment??

- Nancy SchmuckerI spoke with Shawn Masson who was by far the rudest person Ive delt with in my life!! I have spoke to my lawyer and he is working on this for me!! Thank God! Nobody should be treated the way I was just because they are in debt!!
- laurenIgnore these con artists. They are just bullies using bullying tactics. The next time they call, tell them the check is in the mail. Play along with them any way you can. I believe the owner of the company is Thai Han. They are NOT a licensed collection agency. Take the money they are trying to scam you out of and buy a blow horn. The next time they call, use it!

- SarahI've spoken with Shawn Mason as well. He told me they have a process server on hand trying to serve me. Someone called my prior place of employment but wouldnt leave any additional information. I ws told by Shawn Mason my wages would be collected with 35% interest. I cannot find any information on this company I've just been told it's TAS. That's it.

- Whatever replies to stacey figgs| 3 repliesIf in fact that happened to you, I'm sorry. But something tells me you are a company plant who is posting here to make people think that they are going to be served. First of all, the amount in legal fees this company would expend suing all of these people, only to lose, would hardly make it worth it. Especially, as the law requires the ejudication of these matters to be conducted in the defandant's locality. Meaning they have to find an attorney in the state to take the case. Furthermore, if it is an old credit card debt, the statute of limitations may have expired (usually from 3-6 years dpending on your state), and they also have to prove to the court that they own the debt, and are entitled to the money they are seeking. Lastly, if they have violated your rights, you can sue them!! Abusive and threatening calls--BIG MISTAKE!!! Actually, the more they call, the more they hang themselves. Just be sure to document each call, and save any voice messages. The only reason these fraudulent companies get away with these things, is because people let them!!
For anyone receiving these calls, I strongly urge you to contact a lawyer who specializes in consumer protection law. Don't let them get away with it! Even if you owe the money, they are not necessarily entitled to any of it. Just don't panic!! Consult an attorney, and let them know you are going to consult an attorney before you delve further into the matter with them. - Whatever replies to john trueblood| 1 replyFirst of all, a judge has to order wage garnishment, and many states have limits on the amount that can be garnished. But even before that, they have to prove that: A) You owe the money, B) They are entitled to the money. In short, they have to validate the debt. Even if you owe the money, they are not necessarily entitled to it. Before responding, the first thing you should do is check with which ever court in your area that has jursidiction over these cases to see if any paperwork has been filed with them. Because in order to be fair, the law requires that these cases be settled in the defendant's area. If they say that they are sending a uniformed officer to serve you at work, or that there have been failed attempts to serve you, call your sheriffs department, who is usually charged with such duties, to see if they have a record of the attempts or of pending service. They are also required to document the date and time of the attempts at service. Lastly, tell the sheriffs department why you are calling, because law enforcement agencies usually do not like being implicated in fraud.
- Whatever replies to STASHA WALKERThe Fair Debt Collection Practices Act allows you to send them a cease and desists letter. Be sure to send it certified mail with a return receipt. If they call you after you receive that return receipt, you have grounds to su them. The FDCPA allows you to collect up $1000 in damages. I work with an attorney that loves these cases because they are winnable. The key is documentation, and never admit to the debt, make them prove it. And especially, never agree to pay it. They absolutely cannot harass you, so you are in a position to turn the tables on them.
- MikeThey called my house. I called back and told them that the person they are looking for does not live at our house. They still call our house because they say it is the only number they have.

- JBJust got a call a few minutes ago from a restricted number, was told by the man on the phone that he was from something something or other processing and needed to verify my address because I'd be receiving a subpoena for a civil court case. He gave me the phone number (888-280-7216) and a case number and told me to call to get the details... he also said that the subpoenas get served between 9-4 and that I could call the number to "schedule something"...
I just "yep, yep, yep, ok, thanks" 'ed him to death on the phone and took down the info... but I probably should have asked why my local court wasn't calling... and also when did bogus collections companies start getting legal power to subpoena people at their own will. They must have a whole different line of BS for those questions anyway, because with a track record like this they're professionals...- Caller: Unknown

- Mark S.| 1 replyThis is a fraudulent establishment when they show up at your door make sure to hold them long enough to call the police and have a case number and you have a very good case to sue and get money from them if they are around in business long enough (since they are a fly by night group). The trick is try to hold the till police show up, they are elusive they will try to disappear quick, BTW
The post that claim they settled with them are their own posts, no one in his/or her right mind will be intimidated by such lame obviously in every way illegal collection behaviors.- Caller: TAS
