The company called me at my job, they stated that a processor was trying to serve me and they have tried 2 times. I asked them if they leave some type of notices and he got smart and said he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him I was calling my lawyer. He wanted the name & number of my lawyer. I told him he would know when they called him. He laughed and asked me did I know anything about wage garnishment.

I keep getting harrased from them too.  Did they end up serving you?  I was told today I would get served tomorrow if I didnt pay them today.

A company cannot garnish your wages nor can they serve you papers.  Don't worry.  Anyone who says differently is wrong.  If they threaten either of those, ask for a good address to send the lawsuit to.

they have called here looking for my X wife who never lived here or under this phone number, i have told them every time that she does not live here and they keep calling. each time they say something different. 1 time they claimed to be from the DA's office and that a warrant has been issued for her arrest. They have said in the past that i need to contact her because our kids could be taken away. They are horrible low life creatures in my opinion.   If any lawyers out there would like to take my case and sue them, please let me know. When they said something about our kids being taken i could not sleep for weeks and i was absolutely physically ill with worry. Was not until i looked the number up on the WEB that i found out the true scum they are.

Someone from TAS called my place of work today and told employer that I was going to be served papers.  They left the following phone number... 888 280 7216 and also left a case number.  I have no idea what it's about.  I called my wife from work and gave her the info, she called the number, got a recordiing saying that no one could come to the phone at the time, to leave a msg.  She left a msg, but didn't give out any personal info. She googled the phone number, lots of info came up that it's a scam!

I actually think these people are telling the truth. I have a call on my cell phone stating a legal case against me and to call this number to talk about the lawsuite filed against me. But I live in the state of texas. always have they cannot come after you for credit card debts or as suck

what state do you work in. If I am not mistaken... and maybe you would be able to check for me... in Texas they can't do this. I have 4 voicemails total from a man saying I have this lawsuite filed on me. The only things I have out are old credit cards that have been sold off to other companies like 3 times! Should I contact the company or just report this to my local AG office

Just got a rude phone call from Mike Jones harrasing me about a unpaid debt from 2006, threating me to pick up to go to jail. Will not tell me what TAS Stands for ,only number 1-888-380-7216,,,wanting my information.

It's a Corona Scam.

It doesn't stand for anything. They need to make up new names periodically as too many complaints pile up against the old ones.

They are the same crooks as PMG, HGG, and a bunch of other names in Corona, CA.

They aren't going to show up at any doors.  There are no lawsuits.  They avoid doing anything in writing, sticking to the phone for all their threats.

The posts claiming that they were "served" at their job are shills.  They are attempting to maximize the fear of embarassment if you don't immediately "settle", and pay them off.

Yes stacey I think it is a plant. They usually do that to scare people when in fact they are the same people.

Yes they say that but everything is public record so you can see whether or not that is true.

Well, I am another victim of these people.  I just called the number to find out what it was about.  I gave the lady my case number.  She then asked for my name.  I told her if she had the case number, she had my name.  I told her to tell me my name.  She asked again for my name, and I told her she should have it with my case number.  She got mad, said good bye, and hung up.  I will be talking with my lawyer tomorrow because now that I have the address, and they called my family threatening them, they will be the ones going to court.  I had my wallet stolen in 2003, and have accumlated alot of bills on my credit report that I have never seen or had.  I haven't had a credit card since 2001.  I know some credit card companies have only so long to collect, or it automatically falls off.  I told one place "you're not getting any blood out of this turnip"  I feel sorry for people that they actually scare enough and convince them to pay them.  Talk to your lawyer before promising anything..Also, make sure you dial *67 before calling them.  It blocks your number...

Just got a call from the TAS. From a "law firm". He was very rude and said he didn't have a supervisor and called us ignorant ppl for not cooporating. Also said they were looking for him since 2007, but didn't have papers to prove it. He was threatening 35% wage garnishment and court subpoenas. Said if we paid today then they would take $1500 instead of $3500. He wanted someones name that had a good line of credit. The phone number was 1-888-280-7216

I had a hard time the sued me for $7,900 witch I'm still paying for.
I regret not answering to the letter I got in the mail...

They have now called my aunt and ex-wife looking to "serve me papers" on some case. I have done some research on this TAS company and they definitely appear very shady. I can already see this is going to become quite aggravating. Thank all of you for your posts...it is helpful to see others with the same issues.

I just filed complaints with FTC, my State District Attorney's Office and the FBI in California. I'm gonna call them today and serve them my ref# for my FTC complaint.

I just spoke to the Ohio Attorney General, and was informed what this company is doing is illegal.  I let myself be intimidated by these people and agreed to pay to avoid legal action.  Upon my first payment I have done some research and found out that all this company does is try to bully people into paying money they either do not owe/cannot collect on.  They are not a law firm, and have an "F" rating with the better business bureau.  If they call you do not give them any information, and request that you receive paperwork detailing what you owe before you agree to pay anything.  They legally cannot serve you with any kind of subpeona paperwork as they are not a lawfirm, and do not come from the court system.  Secondly they have no jurisdiction to garnish wages, again as they are not associated with the court system.  Do not let yourself be intimidated by this company.  Know your rights.

These people just called my job a few hrs ago.  They claim they tried to serve me last week at the address on file but i wasnt in. He then said he would be out tomorrow and I told him i wouldnt be home, he told me to call 1 888 280-7216. when i called some lady answered they dont even say TAS when they answer.  I told her why I called and she placed me on hold. I then spoke to a Rich Pedrozo. he claims this is for an old credit card from Orchard Bank.  There was some things that didt add up. The server called me on my job phone and said he was coming to my home to serve me, Rich said they were coming to my job. He claimed i was being sued for this card and that the the bank was going to get a judgement against me for $3279, even if i went to court they said the judge would rule against me because i didnt read the paperwork when taking the card that said they could. but dont all credit cards come with the option of arbitration? and that if i didt show for court they would issue a bench warrant, unheard of. further they would harnish my wages 30%.  are they crazy before taxes.  if they took 30% and i paid taxes my check would be zero and that i know is illegal.  he offered me a deal in which i could pay $1527, but i had to do it in 3 payments and that i had to give them a debit card or credit card to get the payment.  they couldnt use a check because they arent equiped to do check by phone.  and that the debit cards tells you who the merchant is and they bank would be on my side if i had an issue with the payment. my debit card is attached to my account so why cant you take a check? Lastly he said the balance was over $500, the limit on the card was only $400. when i called the original debt collector they said they sold the account and at the time the balance was $884.83 and probably way more. they are charging me 500 for filing fee and another $500 plus for something. and if i default on a payment they will charge me another $3500 on top of what they are suing me for. of course i am panic mode and trying to make sure these poeple are ligit.
