my husband answered a call from "unavailable" from Kaylie who asked for me but wouldn't give him any information except it was about something she sent me in the mail.

When I called back I got Kylie and she wanted to know the phone number she had called. (?!). Then she wanted my date of birth.  I told her I wouldn't give out any information unless I knew who was calling. She said real fast "Americollect" or "Ameridebt" couldn't tell which.

I asked what this was about and she said she couldn't say until I verified my date of birth. I said I wouldn't give out any personal information unless I knew who I was speaking with and what it was about. She said she couldn't tell me unless I verified who I was. I said, well you called me at this number and asked for me by name so you should know who you called. She wouldn't give me any more information unless I verified my date of birth. I said " well I guess we're at a standoff then."  She thanked me and hung up.

I read the comments and someone said they sent a letter and she did tell my husband it was about something she sent in the mail but I never got anything from them.

I received a call from Bill from this number, 888-303-3634, and he wanted to speak to my daughter, Mandy Lea.  He gave me the information, and I called my daughter to let her know about it.  She mentioned she doesn't have any idea of who it is.  I called them back to let them know my daughter mentioned she doesn't know anyone.  I verified the number on 1-800 Notes, and it was listed for Amer itech collection.  I immediately told  them I am on a Federal and State DO NOT CALL list and my number is tapped by the Federal Trade Commission.  I was told they do not have to follow DO NOT CALL  lists, but when I  talked to  the FTC, they mentioned they do have to follow the guidelines and I gave them the number that called.

I constantly get phone calls and letters from them and they just dont stop this.  Then have been doing this for about a year and it just
doesnt stop.  Its a constantly harrassment.  I think they are a fraud and they just dont leave me alone.  There is no reason why they are
calling me.

This number called my sister asking for me. They said they were thr sheriff’s office plaintiff department looking to serve me papers about a debt I owed. My sister suspected it was a scam but played along and took a message that included a “case number”. I then called the number and gave them my case number. They said I owed a debt from nearly ten years ago to a credit card company that I’ve never heard of. I asked them for a verification notice, as I am familiar with these fake collection scams and wanted to mess with them a bit. They wouldn’t provide me with any return number or address and would not tell me where to mail a payment but wanted immediate payment directly from my bank account. Don’t fall for these scams! They will call family members to try to get them to “save” you from being arrested by paying this fake debt for you.

My friend received a call from the 888-303-3534, the person told my friend that I used him as a reference and I a courier will be by this evening for me to sign some court documents. I do think this is a scam phone call.
