This number keeps coming up on my caller ID at work - and I am not familiar with them.  I called the number back from my cell phone and when the person answered she had such a thick accent that I could not understand the name of the company.  I gathered after several attempts that she was saying MIRAND Company - then she asked if I received a call from them - I told her no and hung up - not even five minutes later my phone at work rang again from the same number - how can I go to their do not call list?

I get calls from a Mr. Lewell(?).  I have explained that I know that I owe this debt, but am unemployed.  I told him to stop calling me and he continues to do so.  I have told him several times that I will repay WoodForest and not his collection agency.  He gets mad at me and starts to yell.  What is he going to do to me?  Not a darned thing.  Makes him so mad when I tell him to quit calling.

Calling holding the phone, I just got this # and my very first call came from this # and they want ask for any one they just hold the pnone or hang up

I got a call today from this number when i answered they hung up. so i called it back. I am so tired of them calling. So i asked why they called. they asked what my name was I did not tell them. They checked the number I was calling from. Then they said they were looking for Amanda. P????. I told the stupid lady I was not Amanda. She said how can we contact her. I said how do I know. I don't even know. Her. Then she said she would take my # off the list. yeah Right. I am sure tomorrow they will call again.

For months have received repeated calls from this company.  Calls always showed up as 000 000 0000.  Yesterday I picked it up at just the right time and I got the first two sections of the number before it changed to 000 000 0000.  This morning I picked their call and got their full number!  I called them and they said they were  MRS (Murad Response System) had been calling my number to get Cliff Anderson.  They said I would be put on a do not call list.   Later I called to see how they liked repeated calls and they said they were trying to get ahold of a Philip Anderson and that they would not call again. These people need to get a useful job!

Thank you so much for this information!!!!!  When I contacted this company earlier told me I had to send them a letter at PO Box 219080 to ask to be put on their do not call list.  I pressed for an actual street address and they gave only gave me Park Ten Place; Houston, TX  77218.  No building # and wrong zip code!  I called all their numbers to let them know I had their correct address and phone numbers email and fax numbers.  I hope they will leave me alone now!

These people have started calling me at 8:10am. They never leave a message and just hang up when I say hello

They are collecting for Woodforest National Bank.  They seem pretty nice and I figure they are just trying to make a living like everyone else...

If they are nice then why are they calling and hanging up on people. This has happened to me twice. For one it's rude, two, how are you suppose to know what they want if they don't say anything.

They call with a recorded message from Woodforest Bank

I paid woodforest of with a settlement . they are still going to update my file with and lawyer.they also have been rude to. what is my rights?help me out please.

Do they have a right to take you to court? Even if you settle it with the bank itself. And it has not updated in their system.

They call twice a day

I've been getting calls from this number (shows up as 000-000-0000 on my cell phone) for about 2 months. Sometimes 2-3 times a day, sometimes none on other days. As others have, I would sometimes answer and get hung up on. Other times I'd hear or get a voicemail with a recorded message mentioning Woodforest and this 888-317-9490 number.

Today I went to Woodforest's web site and sent an email asking them to remove my cell phone number from the call list. Surprisingly, I received a phone call about 5 or 6 hours later from a lady with Woodforest Bank saying she had notified the agency to remove my number from the list. If that's all it took, I'll be happily surprised. Will see if I get any more calls.

This company is Myrand Response System representing Woodforest Bank. They have also called my cell during work hours and will not leave messages.  Once I did speak with someone (Mr. Huels) he informed me that it was an attempt to collect a debt and that the phone call was being reported.  I expressed that I was happy that it was being recorded.  He was rather rude and threatened me with litigation.  I asked if he would accept a payment arrangement of what I could afford and he simply stated no.  I asked him several times he stated no and that it needs to be taken care of today.  When I threatened him with litigation, he hung up.  I have rights and I do know them.  I also received a call on my cell today from a Chloe, who insisted on speaking with me even after I told her I was at work.  This is getting rediculous.  I don't have to be harassed and they are very disrespectful.

I got this call at 8:09 pm eastern time. I said hello then the person said something and then I hung up. I don't no wat the number is or wat the group is. I don't think they should be calling me because I'm only 14 years old.

I only just bought my phone with a new number about 2 or 3 weeks ago and within days I've received countless missed calls from this number. I haven't even given the number out to more than a few people at work so I think it must be a random thing. I've picked up a couple of times and they generally don't say anything, one time it was a woman claiming to be looking for somebody else, claiming that my number was supposed to be this other person's number.
