A lady with a very thick accent  called my office from this number asking for an employee who has not worked here for several months.  When I told her that "Debbie" no longer worked here, she said that Debbie had called from my office number yesterday, which is impossible.  Debbie now lives almost an hour away, and I was at my desk by my phone all day prior to this call.  I told the lady that, and she responded that she had Debbie's mom on the other line.  I asked her what the call was regarding, and she told me it was personal.  I told her there was no way Debbie had called her and that I knew that Debbie's mom was not on the other line and not to call again since Debbie no longer works here.

This was the fourth call from this company.  I did not answer the first two.  I answered the 3rd, and had heavy static blasted into my ear.  The fourth was answered, and the conversation ensued.  It's obviously a scam of some sort; especially for her to state that Debbie's mom was on the other line.  That's a complete LIE and a scare tactic.  Awful person.  She should be ashamed.

Calls keep coming through my cell phone, messages identified as woodforest national bank. Unreal!

MRS( Mirand Response Systems I believe), debt collection company for Woodforest Bank. Have not done business with this bank so not sure how they got my number.

no clue who this was till now reading the other reports i dont have a wood forest account so i have no clue why they are calling me. however they need to stop. if i dont know the number i dont pick up my phone if they leave a message i listen to it and if it has anything to do with me i call back but these people will not leave a message so there for i will NEVER pick up. i guess i have to try blocking the number.

They had my social secuity number and wanted me to verify it- said they were a collection agency  and could not tell me what it was about until I confirmed that they had the right ss# I would not confirm and they hung up on me. It is scary because they actually had the right ss#

They had my full actual ss# and wnated me to confirm it.  They said they were from a collection agency but could not give me any info unless I confirmed it- when I wouldnt they hung up.  When I called the number back and they answered and new it was me. They tried again to get me to confirm they had the right ss#- I would not they hung up again

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

it starts from a WoodForest Bank saying  my account has a negative balance and need to call this number 888-317-9490 and when I call my you are are put on hold till a customer service person call speak with you after 10 minuets or so I hang up when I call the back pertaining about this they don't have any info on me because I am not part of their accounts.I think it may be a scam so be careful!

Got a call today.  Wanted to verify a lot of information but give no details.  Called at work, asked that whoever she was with not to call me at work.  I currently have payments going to WOODFOREST for an line of credit and will call them regarding the uncessary calls from people that can barely speak englins.  It is Miranda Sysems.

Collection agency for Woodforest national bank

First off I never had a loan or an account from this bank but these people called me 14 times since 8am waking me up out of my sleep. I have multiple sclerosis and can’t be nerved up but these people threatening to have me arrested if they don’t get money that I don’t even owe. I ended up calling the bank and they don’t have no record of me in their system. So while on the phone with the bank these jerks decided to call me back so I put them on three way. As they were doing their threats like before, the representative stop them in their tracks and the rude foreign woman on the other end cursed us out and hung up the phone
