- Tracy replies to BobI'm also in Portland and I have received repeated messages from Barbara saying "I'm not trying to sell you anything" which sounds like complete deception to me. If they were honest with the purpose of the call I might even consider going.
- EvynTo those saying "they don't say won or free!".. uh, yes, yes they [***] do. That's exactly what my message said. I won some free gifts.

- YeahrightIs a scam. All they want is your information. If you enter in a contest at the mall or another place, good luck. I have won 3 times already. I never call them back (I am so lucky). I decided to play the lottery and guess what.......yeah, you guess it. No luck. This people should be running the lottery. Well enough of this. Please be honest and tell people what you want them for. All the people that comment on this are people that work for DCM. Well, good luck to all.

- RegisteredDO NOT CALLerBeing registered on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL would like to advise that I was left a voicemail stating that I was in a drawing for a NEW CAR or a $25000 cash prize and that I'd advanced to the final drawing and to call 888-333-9801 ext 503. (really? I don't enter drawings full stop) No Name of company or contact person was provided - Highly suspect. Haven't called the number after reading all these posts.

- Dbarnum1) I have received these calls in the past and they always require you to go to a presentation before you receive the gift but you are under NO OBLIGATION to buy/subscribe/etc to receive the prize, but you almost always have to drive quite a way out of your way to one of these at some strange hour of the day, spending precious gas to get there.
2) keeping the former in mind, even if you say up front you aren't interested at this time, they try to negotiate a deal similar to a car dealership. If you continue to refuse, they bring in guy #2 who's been around longer and is tougher to say no to. If you still refuse they say "okay, just go see _______ and they will get you set up with your gift." This 3rd person tries to negotiate further for a cheaper deal. FINALLY, after you say NO AGAIN, they take you to a receptionist type person who hands you whatever voucher you're there to receive.
3) The airfare tickets in particular are very difficult to redeem. You have to fill out everything a particular way or you're disqualified. You have to send it "certified" or you're disqualified. You have to redeem it within a certain amount of time or you're disqualified.
4) Barbara stated, TWICE in fact, that "we aren't trying to sell you anything, this is just how our business likes to advertise." If timeshares aren't something you "sell" then I don't know what is...
Anyway, SO even after sitting through a presentation for something you already know you don't want, you have to convince three different people that you don't want it, all to receive a prize/gift that they make as difficult as possible for you to redeem. The only exception to this was a voucher for $100 off a luau package my husband and I wanted for our trip to Hawaii. The hotel actually sponsered the event and it was a Wyndham resorts presentation. We did get the voucher which we took to the front desk and they used to discount the luau at their booking desk, but I think this is because the hotel discounted it directly and there really wasn't anything to send in or mail. So, in rare cases is it worth it to attend one of these presentations.- Caller: DCM "Barbara" 888-333-9801
- MaryI also live in Portland, Oregon and received a phone call from "Barbara". She said that this was the 3rd time that she had tried to notify me and that she would not be calling back again. She made some vague allusion to a "prize" that I had won, which is total garbage since I have not entered any contests or have ever (or will ever) give out my phone number. It IS a scam, no matter what anyone says. I have received calls like this before telling me that I have won a free vacation or a car or luggage, it doesn''t matter what the "prize" is, and for only a few hundred dollars they will be more than happy to ship my "tickets", the "luggage", or the "car" to me. Of course had I sent them the money, I would have received nothing in return! Never call these scam artists back and report them to your states Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau and the National Do Not Call Registry. What they are doing is illegal!
